Barry Jackson...

Did Baylor have comparable talent to miami in Rhule's first year? Just wondering.

Matt Rhule walked into a program dealing with the biggest rape scandal in college football history, and players hitting the transfer portal faster than Manny can come up with excuses after a loss to FIU. I read somewhere the Baylor roster had less than 45 players on it when Rhule arrived and the talent was nowhere near what Miami has. Manny had the advantage of already seeing and being part of the cancer this program is plagued by and he still couldn't make the necessary changes he still claims is holding this program back. Manny is complete garbage, and he will always be protected until that douche Blake James is sent back to his old job as ticket sales manager at U of Maine.

Never thought Manny was in danger of losing his job in year 1, but never thought we would lose to GT and FIU too. The FIU loss absolutely sped up his clock, he is in the same boat Tagggart just got pushed out of from, win in year 2 or you're fired.
If the BoT already has to leak a vote of confidence 11 games in, the conversations are already taking place.

Hope at least Blake James, Enos and the DC get canned, we deserve better.

Oh, had not heard Manny use Matt Rhule yet. Maybe he is saving that for when we get dominated by Liberty in the Independence Bowl
He's saving that for next year when he goes 1-10.

Who the F are we hiring with a track record of firing coaches after 1 YEAR? Ya'll are insane man.

That's the thing, they know we're not, they're just reaching & grasping at straws to justify them not having to work.

We're nothing more than a tax write off for them, they don't give one single fúck about this program & have zero intentions of doing anything that will take time away from the Golf course.

The BOT & administration are on permanent vacation as the top brass at Miami, zero work, zero accountability & rake in millions every year, easiest gig in the country.

I agree with this...UNTIL...these same brass show up to HRS and see 25k fans in the stadium. Then they show up to the next game and see 25k in the stadium. That is when they usually get the hint that the fans are not playing anymore and we wants results or we can watch this sorry a$$ product from our couches or the local bar and save the money we spend on season tickets.

I mean, duh? We could lose by 30+ the next 2 games, Manny isn’t getting fired after one year.

The 3 game winning streak and the FSU win saved him. I would have been interested to see a scenario where we lost to FSU, UL and FIU consecutively to see if the sentiment would have been the same. I would bet that it wouldn't have.

Not surprising they plan of keeping Manny. They are not ready to pick another crappy coach yet. Can we fire the school and take the team private?

Agreed, firing Manny now and allowing Blake to pick another coach would be an unmitigated disaster.

No way Blake can be allowed to pick another coach ever again for UM. For any sport. Manny is his last shot..If Manny fails to win 10 games next year with the easiest schedule I have ever seen UM have and returning **** near 90% of your roster...(and btw one of the worst homes schedules I have ever seen to boot..I mean do they just not want people to renew their season tickets at all?) ..they both have to go and there shouldn't be any discussion.

You just know Manny understands he has the support of the administration for another year at a minimum. Does he really think this season was a fluke? So what about Enos and Baker? If Manny is going to do better in 2020, you have to think one or both will be gone.

Hope I'm wrong but I believe both coordinators are back next year.

Baker is a Manny protege and buddy. I don't see him firing him. Most likely, Manny will get more involved with the D, thinking that will be enough to fix it. Get ready for some more 4 and 17 conversions next year.

Word is, Enos has a pretty large buyout. I don't see Manny going to the athletic department and admitting he made a 2+ million dollar mistake. So, we'll most likely have the same antiquated slow plotting offense we had this year.

Again, I hope I'm wrong because I think they all need to go, including Manny.
At most, he'll let go of a few position coaches. We're screwed for the next few seasons because of this incompetent administration and BOT.

Nobody should want Manny fired with Blake James as our AD. He would just hire another failure. The key is Blake James gone and his replacement.

Fire the athletic department leadership. Fire the two coordinators. Hire Jimmy Johnson as a consultant to select new coordinators and mentor Manny for a year or two. Reap success.
