Barry jackson latest notes

Banda is mannys version of no d... atleast he can recruit unlike that dipsit moron dnofrio. I just thank God we didnt end up having to play one solitary down of football with him at dc. I understand the necessity of recruiting but we really gotta learn not to put FAR too much value into their position on the staff. If it was up to half of our fan base we'd have alf at DC and cooney as our wr coach/oc... fml

No D?

Redwine was the most improved player on our team last year... and safety play has not been an issue.

I just don’t get why fans have to tear down 1 QB or another to prop up their personal favs.

Coach Enos is gonna pick whoever he thinks can best lead our team to victories and Tate “running from competition” isn’t going to factor 1 way or another. Not sure why that’s regularly brought up as if it’s gonna have an impact on the QB race.

You can gas up whoever you want to start without ****ting on the other Miami Hurricane QBs.

Ok so what about him running from the competition ? This is the same thing that fans of Miami love to push when it comes to our own players..... and as far as what the other QBs had last yr everyone blames CMR for having a bad offensive scheme but doesn’t want to give the QBs a restart
How do you think fans would feel about jarren if he transferred to their school after miami brought Fields in?

I don’t think they would feel anything no one knows how he plays there is no tape on him... I think they will say ok we have a 4 star transfer let’s see what happens... @ the end of the day I know it’s CIS and this is what we do it just seems crazy that our players that stayed are counted out

Last 2 heisman finalists ran from competition in baker mayfield and kyler Murray. That sh*t is pointless At qb as kids want to play early and often. And get real he’s not being handed anything he still is competing with talented qbs at Miami in Jarren Williams who was a top 75 player in the country in 2018 and N’Kosi Perry who was a consensus 4star. And who doesn’t want to give the qbs a restart? Most fans without an agenda want the best candidate for the job and who is best equipped to lead the team

Both of those QBs went to OK and the newest transfer will most likely be in the conversation all season....cmon man you’re on these boards everyday several fans have already given the keys to 1 QB... I don’t care who starts @ the end of the day as long as it equals Ws. I’m a UM fan after these players leave and new players come in I’ll still be here repping the U.

Who exactly has given the keys to 1qb? I just Said earlier this week that it was way too early to anoint anyone and just let it play out

I don’t understand how fans think Tate is the savior .... he ran from comp @ O state and he’s struggling here. O state didn’t seemed bothered at all that he left. The media and fans seem to purposely **** on our QBs that were on the rooster from last yr.
That’s cause they don’t realize that the QBs on the roster have not had ANY coaching since high school.

They beleieve JW and NP didn’t take the job because they lack talent, not realizing the talent wasn’t the problem.

Last 2 Heisman winners were transfers. Case closed.

I think Perry felt he deserved the full time job over Rosier and I think if he had started every game he would've settled in and improved. The way Mark used the two was insane plus Williams was gone until the coaching change and his not seeing the field at all last year was criminal. I don't think any of them leave as long as they feel they are respected and given a legitimate shot.

I can see Perry leaving because he is running out of eligibility time...
but Williams would be better advised to stay... an extra year of coaching under Enos would be more beneficial than some playing time in some scrub program....

Richt was the biggest ***** up by not going with Perry or Williams and letting them learn on the field.... instead he went timid and lazy because he didn't want to hire someone to develop a QB .... he'd rather play Rosy...

Couldn’t agree more.

I have to be honest though, these types of shows, podcasts whatever, are really no better than us shlubs that post here. Seriously, what do these guys have in terms of a knowledge base that makes them more qualified than what you or I think?

I think Perry has much of a chance as anybody. Sure he made some dumbo mistakes last year, but it’s not like he tried to run from cops or anything, like somebody else that won a Heisman Trophy. But some people on here have just completely written him off.

Makes no sense. Based on arm talent alone, you want him in there competing and may the best man win

He’s apparently been doing better recently and what should be noted early on in camp, martell hasn’t had much experience throwing to those guys in a practice setting(unlike Perry and Williams who had them in 2018) so I’m sure that took an adjustment in addition to enos tweaking his throwing posture and motion. And it’s more of started off slow early on and is picking it up rather than struggling actually
Well said @brock.

Tate is going to be fine. If we still had Jon Richt as the qb coach, I would be concerned about some of the "accuracy" reports, but we don't have Lil Jon, and therefore I am not concerned at all.

Tate is an exceptional talent, imo. Coming to The U, with the pressure of being anointed "the savior" by majority of our fan base and media, is a lot of pressure for anyone, especially for someone that is adjusting to a completely new team and a completely different offensive system than he has ever been a part of in the past.

Once he gets the hang of things, look the f'uck out! It's Enos job to get Martell ready and to maximize his talent, the same way that it is his job to get the most out of Perry and Williams. That's why we paid the man $1.5 million a year! I'm confident Enos will get it done, which makes me more excited about our QB's than I have been since Dorsey!

The fact that OSU didn’t seem bothered with Tate leaving IS the reason he left. You think that was about to be a fair competition? That job was handed to him before the NCAA even had time to write the waiver (and they worked quick on that)

What have you been watching??? Banda has done a great job developing players here. Every safety he has had at Miami either is or will be playing in the NFL

Jamal Carter (currently playing for the Broncos )
Rayshawn Jenkins (currently playing for the Chargers)
Jaquan Johnson (developed him into a All American will be drafted)
Sheldrick Redwine (converted CB who will get drafted)

He also has been coaching with Manny for years. What makes you think he can’t call plays?
