Barry J. article summary on "behind the scenes" problems.

Drinking is legal and so is marijuana for medical (should be period) however, with the NCAA still not allowing it, there has to be accountability. Saying that and knowing these are college kids, there's a time and place to have fun and there's a time and place to get to work. Also, there's clearly a major issue with Jarren. May be best for him to move on.

I think it's moronic and a lose-lose to go public with this. It doesn't apply any more player pressure for a culture change just because more people know about your in-house issues and setting up public standards and benchmarks of punishment can only serve to come back to bite you in the *** in the future on many fronts.

Manny for reasons good or bad has been able to limit many of the leaks from Hecht. This should've been part of that effort.

Stick to the Dabo/Sabag/etc. model of "handling things internally" but actually handle the culture change.

Is Barry saying our QB room is full of burnouts?:

But conversations with multiple people around the program, including a veteran player, say there’s another issue, particularly in the quarterback room, that must be fixed. And UM is working to achieve that.

That player - and other sources around the team - say a few players seem more concerned with partying than focusing on football and that a handful (including a prominent one on offense) broke curfew the night before the FIU loss to go out.

Wow, just wow. No one is saying don’t have a great time while in college; some of the best years of my life. But if that’s your game plan, then don’t come play on the football team. That takes a different mindset to accomplish being solely focused in college and not a part animal.

Any good leader know that when you take over a new position, a new role leading a big group of people some examples have to be made out of some people. Diaz should have sacrificed a few players by either benching them the entire season or either kicking them off the team last season! To late now, the cake is baked. He wanted to be cool and liked by the players. Easier to start out strict and lighten up rather than the other way around.

Basically an indictment of the drug policy and Jarren’s issues on and off the field. Jarren’s issues are no surprise. It’s been mentioned many times here about his immaturity and seeming like he was high as a kite.

This is on the coaches. Just stop.

Players will take the rope coaches give them...just like kids.

No different when you were a kid and your strict teacher, that’s a disciplinarian calls in sick. When the substitute teacher comes in those same kids go crazy. Substitute teachers are usually spineless and the kids run over him/her. The players see Manny as a substitute teacher.

Thats Manny in a nutshell. He doesn’t have a spine, the kids know it and they run over him.

This has been happening here way before manny.

I'd be shocked if Jarren is here next season. Regardless of what he did or didn't do, even being mentioned in an article like that as the guy who started the season as QB1 is ludicrous.

He was gone after the going awol stunt and shaq and the “ leaders “ got him back. Dude is on like strike six or seven

Why report that??? What’s the gain here? Just do it

10000%. Exactly. I just said this in the other thread about it.
