Barry J. article discussing the internal power struggle

Blake’s the problem , not manny. Manny didn’t hire himself in a few hours and pay a four million dollar buyout.

That is true. Manny didn't hire himself and he isn't the real problem. It is just comical that Manny thinks he has the leverage to make these decisions when he is an awful HC who lost to FIU and LA Tech.

Only at UM...

James ever play anything more than checkers?

You have a "civil war" going on inside the board of trustees that includes James and Diaz....this cannot work out in a positive way for the team...

Which one of them is saying it is time to end this self-inflicted cancer and change the process? Which one of them is suggesting the firing of Blake James? Which one of them is looking to reach out to Danny White?

The idea of a GM who has co equal power is a problem. The idea of an active aDmin staff who co leads recruiting from a talent screening perspective and who evaluated Diaz based on who he hires and fires and who hires and fires the head coach is workable and manny could have no say in it.

Almost all HC have deals that give them final say over staff but manny needs to be held to a standard and when he constantly hires bums, he should be fired for wasting our time.

Just to recap so we can fully appreciate this:

• A guy who's been a high-level NFL executive for 8 seasons verbally agreed to take a position at UM that would give him power, helping to hopefully fix our program.

• Our tiny, lisping moron of a head coach, with his 6-7 record and 3 straight losses to FIU, Duke, and LaTech, told his boss "no."

• Cuck James allowed his tiny, lisping moron head coach with no success, respect, or clout to dictate to him who he can hire. He allowed an employee to tell him who he could hire.

• So not only is Manure ruining the program on the field, he's now also overpowering his spineless boss on a hire that could lay the foundation for us to build a strong program in the future and stop running our team like it's amateur hour.

This entire program should be shut down and at this point if you don't despise Manny you're either part of his bloodline of mentally handicapped.
Tell that to the joker who thought it would be brilliant to hire a rookie HC, and did it in 10 seconds flat no less.

The fact that we’re letting an unproven hack job coach who just went 6-7 dictate how the program should be managed behind the scenes is just sickening, God I hate our admin and Blake James so much.

Manny literally told Blake to hire him, to which Blake replied, “okay boss.” Any surprise that Manny is still Blake’s boss?

Well if Blake had any alpha in him he’d say “ stfu, you have no say in this Mr 6-7. Just be glad I’m married to your punk *** 12 more months, now gat out of my office and go strike out on another recruit”.

Was in Miami for a week. One wealthy businessman that I spoke with said that there is a 0.9 inverse correlation between football prowess and academic ranking. He is thrilled about Miami's national academic ranking. He says 2/3 of donors agree with him and cites the $35M allocated to football from the $4B in recent campaigns.

Another large donor said that they expected "growing pains" with Manny, but they were also expecting a 9-3 record during 2019 with noticeable improvement during the latter half of the season. If Manny does not win 9 games next year, they will fire him. (Also spoke with FSU BOT member. Taggart arrived at office at 8AM and departed at 5PM. Taggart does not believe in ever disciplining players. Laziest high ranking executive they have ever met.)

One thing about Manny that everyone agrees on is that he is a manical worker. No one outworks him. Diaz puts in 100 hour weeks routinely. He is genuinely trying to succeed.

Everyone I spoke to at this point expects Manny to be fired next year by late November. They are preparing for his replacement... He will probably fail, but one never knows. He is working like a fiend.
Chillllll 🤣🤣🤣

It is a sound philosophy when the AD has a vast track record of competence and proven decision making ability.

Blake James is a shortbus riding tranny ***ing puppet. He has no track record other then incompetence.
Exactly...the problem is BJ doesn’t know when to step in. Even if he did step in...he has no idea what to do to help alleviate the problem. BJ’s philosophy actually is to pray and hope his coaches figure it out on their own so he doesn’t have to put out these BS statements.

As to the roster thing, whatever coward leaked that is an idiot.

How many "difference makers" do FIU, Duke, and La Tech have? Cram that garbage excuse up your ***.

One "roster" at Miami stinks and it's the group of gutless coaches trying to make excuses by throwing their guys under the bus.
I was thinking the same thing

No. The problem is Blake James is the AD. He isn't qualified to be the AD.

He should not be in this position to begin with. He is self-inflicted cancer. He and the BOTs are doing what the NCAA never could do...destroy the program.

"But the biggest obstacle remains UM’s apparent reluctance to give Highsmith the type of authority and responsibilities he would need to make a real difference."

But to make him a puppy dog to Diaz is acceptable---what a !@(^$&*# Joke.
