Bandas comment that bothers me

He also praised Bubba Bolden on being athletic, being in the right place at right time, giving full energy but if Bubba doesn’t tackle he’s not going to play. I GET IT but under this theory players like Deion Sanders or CJ Henderson wouldn’t play (I know they are corners).

Seems stupid
U know what seems stupid. Mentioning two players from our instate rivals. Doesn't help solidify your point.

I am a supporter of all the coaches. Diaz needs time before we can judge same with Enos cause he was handed the youngest and worst oline in the power 5.

But Banda is garbage. All his comments irk me. Knowles hasn’t tackled in his 6 years hear. Carter whiffs just as often. And his recruiting has been awful.

I agree it’s a simpleton mindset. Reminds me of when dugans would play receivers based on who could block the best

Panda is clueless. Anything to keep Knowles on the field I guess.
[/Q

It seems to me, that Knowles is a PRACTICE WARRIOR, but when he gets in the game against average Power 5 schools he sticks up the field. Nevertheless I respect Knowles for staying with Miami for five seasons and giving 110 percent in practice. In other words, it's a shame that some of Miami's FOUR-STAR dudes don't always give their all in practice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, it's practice man.

Am I overreacting?

Banda in interview today when discussing the progression of Hall and saying first couple games it’s what he expected (a lot of running around not knowing what he’s doing) and Knowles over took him because of how well he tackled. Banda than said speaking about Hall progressing is he got better at “The Only Thing I Care about, which is tackling”.

Just seemed like an odd comment, while tackling in open space is obviously important what about coverage?
Banda just got done working a double bartending shift at Applebees, give him a break

Maybe a talk with a Chaplain would help.

Coach Ted Lange is The Incarnate ****. Dude lost me 3 years ago when he was running around with the Russell Athletics Bowl trophy using it to recruit. Recruits must have been laughing at him.

**** was lame af idk what he was thinking

Henderson would play and start in this scheme. Henderson is too talented to be on the bench. Him and Bandy would be 1 & 1A. He's the definition of a cover-corner, he literally only covers. The coaches would probably light him up during film on a weekly basis but as long as he's lockdown it really wouldn't matter.

Banda gets a ton of hate, but our Safety play the last couple years was arguably the strongest group on the entire team. And Redwine was easily our most improved player.

Agreed but I think a lot of that is because of Rumph not really Bandas X and Os skill

Ephraim Banda said that if Bubba Bolden tackles the way Miami Hurricanes tackle, then he is going to play a lot. If he doesn’t tackle that way, he won’t play.
And.......The number 1 priority of defense is to tackle. Need 11 guys on the field that can tackle

^^^^ This.

@MiamiChris , how could you possibly take Banda saying our safeties being sure tacklers is critically important and run with it like that's a negative thing?

Because anytime in life or in coaching when making 1 thing so important and downplay other aspects of a project or playing D, to me it shows them being one sided and not open to learning or transforming whatever it is they are speaking of. It screams not being open minded at least that’s my experience with individuals
