Banda to Utah St?

Diaz can’t really keep Rumph can he? He just can’t. There is no way to justify keeping an average coach and terrible recruiter.

Banda's easily the defensive coach we should lease want to lose. Stroud seems okay but replaceable. Rumph, Patke, Baker, nah.

Manny needs to start over on this D.

If we lose Banda, when we sign no top safeties in '22, everyone's excuse is going to be the kids were all scared of our depth chart.

Opens the door for a TRob or Fran Brown type to come in. They weren’t coming without a Co-Dc title and full control of the secondary. Lets us correct the awkward staff makeup. Maybe add a legit ST coach or add an additional DL coach to coach ends or DTs.

Bandas body of work as a recruiter is trash. He can be replaced and upgraded. They all can.

Easily.

The fact that Banda is wanted confirms to me that he is our best coach on the defensive side of the ball. (i know Baker interviwed for the LSU DC position last year but it was a momentary lapse in judgment by Coach O). Banda is the first of Manny's guys that is wanted. Kuligowski and Simpson left to 'Bama and the pros after a short stint at Miami but both were Richt hires.

It's nice to see that Anderson wants Banda but he would be a massive loss from a recruiting standpoint. The silver lining would be that his departure leads to a complete overhaul of the defense.

What good is it to be a so called top recruiter when you can't develop the talent?

In 2022 if Banda stays and we land some more top safeties but the one's already in his stable continue to look pedestrian we can at least hang our hats on something i guess.
