If Blake ever wanted to redeem himself, he'd do everything in his power to hire Butch. He could go from being the worst AD to someone looked upon favorably by the time his career is over.

So Blake James hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell Butch's disciples. Suddenly Butch met them. 'Greetings.' Butch said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him. Then Butch said to them, 'Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Liberty City; there they will see me.'"

Thanks, Lu. I have to work tomorrow, now how the heck will I get to sleep. This would be like the BOT scoring a pick six in the losing seconds to win a game by one point. Huge turnaround for the whole program. Fans will be happy on to tears. Whatever Butch does, there will be three years of hope and peace. It is hard to imagine him not have a pack of NFL players by then. Kids go to bama because Satan puts player in NFL. His numbers are tiny compared to Butch. Win or lose, I want Butch here Sunday. Got to believe the Maryland rumors started a fire under BOT's ***.

Butch is smart how he is going about it. He will never go to Maryland while golden is on thin ice.

1. If you've been around the boards, you know I don't usually pass along info. I'm not privy to **** D$ and some others have access to. At least not as consistently, anyway.
2. I figured passing along what I was told (and how that's a break from the past) was going to incite, as it has already, comments about Butch vs. Herman vs. Stoops vs. other alternatives. The point was this thread wasn't about advocating for Butch to be hired or about making any comments on other coaching alternatives. Instead, just about passing along the info that, for those of us who didn't previously expect this to be a real option, things apparently have changed.
