Background Rumblings - Butch Davis

Herman is a great coach. But if Butch is in play you have to hire him.

I think Herman will be great and go on to be a big time coach, but I KNOW Butch is great. He was the mastermind behind the greatest roster ever assembled. His ambition ultimately won out and he didn't get to enjoy the spoils from 2001-2003, but hes a no-brainer.

And when he hires Schiano the only thing we're gonna be two-gappiing is other team's b-holes and pwussies.
lmao

Lu, if you're trolling I swear to God I kill you

Just passing along exactly what I was told and its tone. It was different and I thought meaningful enough to share.

I don't consider myself anything close to an insider and basically just know a handful of people close to the program.

I don't have enough information right now to really give a meaningful opinion on the coaching search alternatives.

So.... click-bait?

1. If you've been around the boards, you know I don't usually pass along info. I'm not privy to **** D$ and some others have access to. At least not as consistently, anyway.
2. I figured passing along what I was told (and how that's a break from the past) was going to incite, as it has already, comments about Butch vs. Herman vs. Stoops vs. other alternatives. The point was this thread wasn't about advocating for Butch to be hired or about making any comments on other coaching alternatives. Instead, just about passing along the info that, for those of us who didn't previously expect this to be a real option, things apparently have changed.

It makes perfect sense. The BOT and Athletic Dept have proven for a decade they don't have a clue on what it takes to build a winning program. Why not bring back the architect of our last dynasty and create fan excitement at the same time. He wants the job and I'm sure he would be reasonably priced. Plus if Butch fails, the BOT can give a big ol fu back to the fan base.

Bring it on.

Today, I heard there have been actual talks of this being a real option for Miami.

I wish I could take this information, chop it up with a razor and snort it with a rolled up dollar bill off of a glass coffee table. This is exactly the high I needed.

I love you! Will you father my child?

The BOT doesnt have final say in coach hirings. The president does. Since Frenk appears to be giving Blake autonomy Butch is a possibility. The ignominious lesbodwarf Shalala has been the hold up and she is gone, knee deep in Clinton corruption.
