Avantae Williams reinstated

This kid needs the University of Miami more than we need him. I am happy we've given him a second chance with structure and a support system in place where he can learn and move on positively. How many kids get dismissed and then go south and end up in real trouble? Whatever the circumstances he benefits and so does the university.

No one knows exactly what did or didn’t happen besides tae and the woman involved. Just a tough situation. If you suspend the guy doesn’t that clearly show he did something wrong with his pregnant baby mama? I hope Tae takes full advantage of this 2nd chance and doesn’t ruin his life and rub dirt in the eye of Miami

No. Suspensions and dismissals are precautionary, these days, more often than not.

Yall MFs hate to be wrong. ****, let it go. He byke 🗣

No idea , I just thought that was the maximum he’d get. I knew he’d be back.

Just on stupidity he might get a suspension. Hes a pretty hardheaded cat that doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. This whole thing could’ve and should’ve been avoided. Both parties deserve blame. Hopefully he finally gets his crap together from this. This should be a wake up call. He needs to focus on football and leave these chicks alone.

Exactly.

It's time for people to be 100% real.

I don't care if Avantae is 15 years old and broke or 35 years old and retired from the NFL, he is dealing with a pregnant human being carrying HIS CHILD. It's not his first rodeo, he knows **** well that pregnant women get hormonal, they have physical pain, they have emotions that sometimes carry on even after the pregnancy (post-partum depression).

It doesn't matter if this woman was FACTUALLY INCORRECT about the perceptions of his infidelity, that is no reason to start asking someone in the third trimester of carrying HIS CHILD to suddenly lift a bunch of stuff in order to move out of his apartment in a matter of hours.

The bottom line is that he needs to have a cooler head in these situations, at least for a couple of months. If he wants HIS CHILD to be born healthy and happy, he needs to be able to navigate the emotions and hormones and all the other baggage that goes along with having multiple children before he can legally drink alcohol. He needs more guidance and structure and counseling, and he needs to listen to it and do what is necessary.

None of this completely excuses the woman, but 99% of the people who have been posting are men, many of whom resort to calling a woman "crazy" or a "liar" instead of acknowledging that being pregnant is a bizarre emotional and chemical experience. From a logical/objective standpoint, sure, maybe what she said/did was outside of the bounds of normal human interaction by a non-pregnant person. One could also argue that giving THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILD a "get out by sundown" ultimatum is similarly unreasonable.

I stand by the University of Miami's decision. There are no clearcut "winners" here, just a few people that narrowly avoided disaster. Avantae has got to become a better person and a better father, not only for this child, but also for his other children. He has the chance to provide a life for himself and his children that they would not otherwise be able to enjoy. I, for one, will be praying for him to see a better pathway forward.

I remember a time some fans on here were ragging on FSU for having Jameis Winston’s back after he “allegedly” stole crab legs & “allegedly” raped a woman. Even w/ all the charges being dropped/not pursued, many on this very board claimed FSU & Tallahassee police was dirty, and they cared more bout the player than the victim, even after it was reported the school did its “due diligence” & found they were not in violation of Title IX.

Lol, what a time to be alive. #Glasshouses

Many excellent points here.

Jameis actually did steal the crab legs. He's on the security camera at Publix doing it. His excuse was that he thought the guy at the fish counter was giving him the crabs for free and apparently that's enough for the TPD.

What ever happened that day, I hope helps this kid for the better.

Not many are able to learn and are given 2nd chances.

I really hope they get this kid a mentor/life coach, I can tell he may need one.
This is what I care about. Ball on the field but push this guy towards dudes like Tyrique who have a good head on their shoulders.

@TheOriginalCane - you and I share the same opinion sometimes but not always. Regardless, your takes always come off as thoughtful and measured.

Just thought I'd take a moment to give some props. Good stuff.

Thank you, sir. We don't have to be on the same page all the time, but there is an unborn child involved. Everyone involved with that child needs to grow the f**k up.

will ferrell holy shit GIF

They got it wrong now they throwing sly shots at Avantae. UM did their due diligence and I have ZERO issue with how they handled this situation considering that according to the national sentiment we (UM) are considered guilty until proven innocent. We had to go hard upfront and then let Avantae and his legal team dig themselves out. And they were successful in every step of that process.

This is a second chance based on Avantae getting himself, his family, team, school and program into this unsavory situation. It is not a second chance based in him beating or hitting his girlfriend. If there was evidence of that he'd obviously be long gone. Many men have bruised women blocking the woman's blows and by restraining them while being attacked. People assumed she was covering for Tae when she could have been covering for herself in avoiding her own prosecution for attacking him.

The sly shots just prove that this was never about the well-being of his pregnant girlfriend to those who are sending them. Do better.
Look. This is the post of the Mf thread. I was going to type something similar but glad I read this first.

The amount of cucks In here with their holier than thou, fake moral high ground is sickening.

Full investigation by the school and the police and charges were dropped.

These egotistical fuqs HATE to be wrong.

They were flat out wrong. Vilified this young man and made him guilty with no proof AT ALL.

Charges dropped and they're still throwing back handed comments like he is guilty and somehow the eggshell walking Miami Administration is taking a chance on him for the sake of Ws in the win column.

This is UM own fans doing this. Not a rival team or a division rival... UM FANS.

Makes me sick.

Bunch of nerdy cuks who fail to realize there are evil and vindictive women in this world who would do anything to destroy your life when upset with you.
