I have to trust they’re blind liars who care about the sport above all else (which has never been the case), or they found enough reason to bring him back.

The woman had injuries and she said what she said when the first responders arrived. She also recanted and charges were dropped. I was and am supporting the school on however they decided. I’m hoping that this turns out to be a happy ending - ever after. No need to bash our player now or call him names because he has kids.

As I stated in the other thread, I do think an administrative leave response would have been better than an outright dismissal up front until things were sorted out. The school should look at giving themselves more flexibility and being more measured in initial responses.

After hearing both sides I actually posted “ I no longer have an opinion, there’s too much unknown“. Also after hearing both sides, and knowing manny was fighting for him to come back I can honestly say im not surprised at all. There’s a reason I posted I expect a suspension an hour before the announcement.

Because if Avantae is "at home", he's about 5 hours from campus...

Which "lie" are you talking about?

The "lie" when women are beaten, and they lie to the cops and say nothing happened? Or the "lie" that something happened when nothing happened.

Because they are both lies. And one is WAY more common than the other.

Do you still expect there will be some sort of suspension for him? Or some behind the scenes prove it type deals?

Yea I'm not sure where this fantasy of him starting came from. He was clearly a backup in the spring game then missed all of camp. He was definitely on track to play, but not to start.

first i will say with a full recanting by the victim and a dismissal by the state attorney i support the decision at least since the kid has no previous incidents that know of. but are there really two sides here? i am just asking because i perceive it (rightly or wrongly) as a case of he did it but she backed off which happens a lot in domestic cases.

No idea , I just thought that was the maximum he’d get. I knew he’d be back.

Just on stupidity he might get a suspension. Hes a pretty hardheaded cat that doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. This whole thing could’ve and should’ve been avoided. Both parties deserve blame. Hopefully he finally gets his crap together from this. This should be a wake up call. He needs to focus on football and leave these chicks alone.

The lie about her saying she was on the pill when a 30 year old woman tries to financially entrap an18 year old kid who has a potential seven figure payday coming in the next few years. THE MOST COMMON LIE OF THEM ALL.

Mods can we please unlock the original Tae thread. It was a spirited, yet respectful thread & I’m sure a lot can be gained by going back & seeing how things can change in a few weeks time. Plus some of the HoRt taRkes will just taste heavenly. I’m asking for the betterment of the board.
