Why the **** can't we sign stud DTs?

dammit mane...

I think a lot of us are seeing it as, there's no good dt's here, just come and start, but they're seeing it as we have horrible DT, we can't develop DT's

Why don't you guys utilize the Big Board visual? It would be a lot easier to track to group all the players by position and provide the latest update on each player. I think it would be a lot easier to review/ read compared to scrolling through comments on a thread. Just a constructive comment.

CaneHunt ’14: QB Update | David Cornwell visits Bama

3/19/13: ESPN Insider reported today that 2014 QB David Cornwell (Norman, Okla./Norman) made an unofficial visit to Alabama last weekend.

This isn’t Cornwell’s first time in Tuscaloosa. He also attended the Crimson Tide’s first Junior Day in January. David came away very impressed with the facilities, coaches and how the practices were conducted. He called the practices, “NFL quality.”

David met Tide QB AJ McCarron during his visit. He even texted a picture of the two QBs to friends. Cornwell, however, is not finished his UVs, as he is touring SEC schools on his spring break. He said he will likely know what school he wants to go to by the end of spring practice, but won’t announce it until June.

Cornwell is currently rated 97 and ranked the #4 PRO QB in the nation by the 247Sports Composite.

CaneHunt ’14: RB Update | Yearby evaluation

3/22/13: ESPN.com Recruiting Nation has published an article, “Breaking down 2014 prospects.” Their report includes RB Joe Yearby. Here’s what they had to say…

“One of the more explosive and elusive backs this class has to offer, Yearby is a big play waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. Has gifted feet and body control. He's built low to the ground with a compact, muscular build that is tightly wound and extremely fast-twitched, making him very difficult to wrap up cleanly. Explosive back who can turn even the smallest crease of daylight into a big gainer.”

CaneHunt ’14: RB Update | Dixon evaluation

3/22/13: ESPN.com Recruiting Nation has published an article, “Breaking down 2014 prospects.” Their report includes WR Johhnie Dixon. Here’s what they had to say…

“There is a lot to like about Dixon athletically. He has height, good bulk, very good strength and builds very good top-end speed. Has the initial quickness to escape press. Has good awareness and a natural feel to separate versus man and uncover versus zone in rhythm with the quarterback. He's big enough, strong enough and physical enough to play off defenders to separate if necessary. A physical player for the position.”

CaneHunt ’14: OT Update | McDermott evaluation

3/22/13: ESPN.com Recruiting Nation has published an article, “Breaking down 2014 prospects.” Their report includes OT Kc McDermott. Here’s what they had to say…

“McDermott is the third in a line of some good O-line prospects from his family in recent years, and the 2014 edition is the biggest and arguably the most promising of the group. His brothers were interior guys, but K.C. should find a home at tackle with very good height and a solid build, with more room to add some needed good mass with time in a college weight program.”

CaneHunt ’14: OG Update | Brumfield evaluation

3/22/13: ESPN.com Recruiting Nation has published an article, “Breaking down 2014 prospects.” Their report includes OG Garrett Brumfield. Here’s what they had to say…

“Brumfield is a physical and promising offensive line prospect. He looks to play predominantly tackle, but will end up sliding inside at the next level. He has adequate height and bulk at this stage, but possesses a lengthy frame with room to continue to fill out and looks to possess a nice reach for his height. He is a knee bender with good hip and ankle flexion. Possesses excellent lower-body playing strength.”
