Are we too confident or entitled about the FSU game?

First off, CMR and the coaches will have this team ready to go. The players are not going to underestimate them or overlook them. So I am not worried about that. However, I think everyone is overestimating FSPOO win today over Louisville. If you watched that entire game you would have seen what a **** show both teams were and how Louisville refused to win that game. Louisville just might be the worst team in a bad ACC.

FSPoo does not have a good defense, the have one good DL in Burns. Samford has scored less points against juggernauts Shorter, Mercer, Chattanooga and Kennessaw State than they did against FSPOO’s vaunted defense. Furthermore, I think everyone is underestimating our last 3 victories. Granted Toledo, FIU and NC are not top 25 teams but we beat the **** out of them. FSPOO would have struggled with each one of them and likely lost to Toledo. FIU beat Old Dominion who beat VT who absolutely beat the **** out of FSPOO.

As frustrating as some of the runs are that we have allowed, we are 6th in the nation in rushing defense. Plus 2nd in Total defense, 1st in TFL’s, 1st against 3rd down conversion. Their OL is putrid, our DL is Elite Top 5 in the country. After our coaches watch last weeks game film, I expect to see a lot more of an OL featuring Scaife, Voulware, Gauthier, Donaldson and St Louis. That line is good enough to compete against the majority of CFB and certainly FSPOO. Keep Rosier, Jahair Jones and Knowles off the field and we should win this game handily. It’s a rivalry game but we need to get over our Golden Battered Fan Syndrome.

Reasons shown every week of the season why Cane fans think we should blow them out. Think some here thinks saying snould means saying will. There is a huge difference

I agree with 100%. They have some talent on that defense and I’m concern with Perry making freshman mistakes.

Should be a major dog fight. My reasoning is they have Frenchie, our punting game is atrocious, and Nkosi will be starting his second game. Our fans hatred FSU blinds them to the fact that we have glaring defiencies that the rest of the country sees but they don’t. We win in a real close game.

Wrong, Louisville lost this game by passing on first down with only 1:39 left in the game. The ball was in the red zone. Absolutely incredible.

They are going to be pumped for this game and will throw the kitchen sink at us early in order to steal momentum and take the crowd out of it. This will be Perry's first REAL test. I hope he rises to the challenge. Let's end the 'Doak Campbell South' narrative.

I’m sure the team will pumped to play FSU come Saturday but I’m cautious about assuming a victory knowing our history and deficiencies. Should we win? Of course! But man I’ve been a Cane fan for along time and these games are usually close.
