Are we too confident or entitled about the FSU game?

The only concern is mistakes by Perry, i.e., bad interceptions. This is the most talented defense he has yet to be faced with since he’s been playing, even if it’s FSU and they have their problems.

They nearly lost to Samford, Louisville, got pounded by VT, who lost to ODU. Their play calling looks bad. Their secondary looks non-existent. Their D-line looks average. Their O-line will get their teeth kicked in.

It's not that WE are that great. It's that FSU is dog crap.
 
Yes. Perry is better then Rosier but Perry is by no means some sorta of big time game changer. This will be just his 2nd start.

Our run defense is still awful which could help Taggart's fast tempo offense get in a groove if we don't tighten up those edges.

We still haven't found our most consistent O-line rotation.

It a rivalry. IMO we should bury them but we're 0-1 against teams with as much talent as us even when they've had corches.

You mean the obvious pick? FSU has fielded their worst team since bowden’s last year and you expect gameday to be here? Over OU vs UT?

Perry is a game changer. He can hit downfield passes. If Louisville had him today, they win this game by 20+ easily.
 
Plenty of reasons for Cane fans to think we SHOULD blow them ouf.Latest evidence was watching the LOSER game today
 
If it’s about the Jimmy’s & the Joe’s, their recruiting rankings prove they’ve got Jimmy’s & Joe’s.

We’re gonna have to play a really really good game to win (which is certainly doable).

It’s gonna be a dogfight...always is.

Yes, of course this board is too confident. There is literally no reason for anybody to think that we blow those guys out. Al Golden kept the games against FSU close and he might be the worst coach in college football history. Now they will be coming in with confidence after the finish at Louisville today. We may win but it certainly will not be a blowout.
 
This is honestly the worst FSU team I ever remember. It's not that they don't have athletes or talent, but they're just a mess. OL is terrible and defense outside the DL is average to bad. Meanwhile we're good, if not great, but finding our footing and at home. Yes it's a rivalry game and yes they'll play balls out but we should win handily, period.

Not comparable. Those FSU teams before Jimbo mailed it in last year were light years better than this dumpster fire now. And there's no Dalvin Cook x factor.

Rivalry game or not we should dog these sorry mf’s. People talk about us competing with them when we were bad and they were at their best, but they fail to mention the couple times they blew us the **** out. How come it’s not gonna be the other way around?
 
Us fans can be as confident as we want. Im sure the coaches will have these guys locked in. As long as we don't turn it over we should win.
 
Their coaching staff will have them up for this game. They’ll be telling their players that UM doesn’t respect them and that they have to go down there to Miami and rip their hearts out.

Richt isn’t stupid. He knows all the tricks.

Of course he will, especially with Perry starting his first game in the rivalry. This is part of why I'm nervous about a close game next Saturday.

No.. it just seems that way because Rosier isn't a division 1 QB who can't hit throws that most P5 QB should be able to make. Just like how people think Manny is some sorta of elite or great defensive coordinator when it only looks like that because we were consistently 90th or worse on defense under Al Golden. Your mistaking average with great because of the mental scars the previous player/coordinator gave the fans.
