Aranda To Lsu

He would have been amazing but never saw anything linking him here. Disappointing that another team outbid us. Understandable though, lsu has money to blow

You just wrote there was never anything linking him to us. So how are you to jumping to we were outbid?

Well maybe not outbid.. But apparently he was available and looking to leave Wisconsin, and another team bought him.

Idk if we contacted him but stinks that we couldn't close on him since he ended up being a possibility

You contradicted yourself 2-3 times in that sentence.
Cool stuff.
LOL.

So if nothing was linking him here besides people blathering on a message board, how did we get outbid? Explain to me how that makes sense?

That's good, real good.

What happened to "Aranda is a West Coast guy"? Is LSU on the West Coast of Louisiana?

UM message board denizens struggle with geography. There's a guy on the westendzone who claimed that Miami wasn't on the east coast of the united states.

No reason to question Mark Richt. He is a proven commodity and we have to trust that he knows what he is doing.

He has to be waiting for the NFL season. Only thing that makes sense at this point.

probably better for us.

i would rather have a more aggressive attacking 4-3 style that is simple to pickup. Aranda's D, while effective, looks alot more complicated to implement and might take time to pickup and execute properly. we don't really need that style with the athletes found in south florida.

LSU acted quickly. Replaced their DC in a little over 48 hours and clearly upgraded from Kevin Steele with Dave Aranda. Good for them.

Now bring me Raymond for DB coach and Moffitt for S&C.

"we didn't want him anyway"

"we couldn't afford him"

"he plays a 3-4, no thanks"

Full blown potato attracting thread. So far we have:

1) LSU outbid UM
2) Stinks that we couldn't close on him
3) Richt is scrambling now

LOL when not one person has any iota of knowledge on whether a phone call was even made to his lawyer inquiring whether he would possibly, maybe have an interest in hearing about our DC position a few weeks ago. How do some of you function in a world where we are one financial crisis or infrastructural failure away from having to disembowel your neighbor and dry his/her flesh in order to stay alive for the winter?
