Based on this guys Highlight, coming out of JUCO, I thought he was great with the ball in his hands... Sort of a poor man's Aaron Hernandez (former TE @ NE). Now, I've never seen Sandland in camp, other than a few short clips, where he appeared to struggle at blocking.
That said, I still thought he was serviceable as a Pass Catching TE... Problem was, that was Walford's role....
Kid rolled the dice, and left, instead of waiting his turn. If he learned how to block, might be something.
