Written by a UM alum who I went to school with, and worked on The Miami Hurricane newspaper with.

Who now works for the UM Athletic Department.
 
So the short answer to my question is no.

They can continue to lead a department that has subpar results across the board, and their are no consequences.

no excuses for 2020-2021. Baseball team preseason top 5. They absolutely need to get to CWS.

next season b-ball team needs to get ncaa tourney.

next season football needs to win Coastal.

Unless you don’t really care.

2 pad bank accounts
3 run athletic department on the cheap
4-10 who cares.

losing 5 out 6 games to Gators last 2 years. Not making it out of regional last year.

This years WBB team is 13-14 after high season expectations.

Baseball will have a great season, however this is a MONEY post outside of that.

WTF do you expect the BOT to do at this point in time? If they were gonna fire Blake or Strawley, they would have done so after FB season.
We're going to finish out the BB season about where we were projected preseason. It ain't great, but given the injuries, it's about as good as we could hope for this year. We're set up for a better run next year.
We just started baseball season and despite a crappy weekend, we're likely going to host and should contend for Omaha.

The BOT isn't going to kick Blake/Strawley out the door right now. Just take a breather till the middle of baseball season, at least...though more than likely you'll need to wait till FB season to see any major discussion/action.

Baseball may have just started but Basketball has officially wet the bed. Why can’t we hold him accountable for that?

It would have been better if we swept the gators instead of the other way around, but baseball is a good way to look at the problem. We hired DiMare to replace Morris. Yes, he's qualified, but whether or not he's good enough to win in Omaha is a matter of debate until and unless we win a CWS.

But how did we get him? Did Blake and crew use their keen knowledge of sports to find the perfect candidate? Did they check every school to find an up and coming star? No, they took the path of least resistance and made the simplest choice. That's what we'll continue to get with this lot. They'll do just as much as they have to in order to keep up with the other schools and keep the ACC checks coming.

But if you try and do something, anything to point out the problem, all you get is ridiculed.

The problem has been pointed out ad nauseum. How many freaking threads would satisfy you? Would you like an entire message board devoted to pondering this question? How many banners need to fly?

This is obviously a situation that we are all monitoring, and no one's happy about the state of our AD at the moment. But JFC, man, another thread whining about Blake and Strawley is about the dumbest use of anyone's time or energy.
