Not saying I believe this, but it's not that far-fetched.

Richt has never seemed comfortable or happy at Miami. You can tell from his interviews that he enjoyed Athens a lot more than he likes South Florida. If, say, UM is forcing him to fire his son.... which is not far-fetched given how poorly the QB's have played.... that might be enough for him to say "**** it" and step away.

That said, unverified twitter rumor = probably bull****.

If Richt steps down its a 100% certainty that lil Johnny gets canned.

stranger things have happened. he might decide to take a buyout offer and then take a couple years off. then coach at a small baptist college in oklahoma or somewhere in the bible belt.
