Another Story About Richt Being "Limited" At UGA

Richt will never win the big one as long as Jesus is at the wheel.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit.

Tell that to David....and Goliath

Tell that to Daniel after he was thrown into the lion's den and came out unscathed

Tell that to Jesus who was crucified.

Yes sir....he died for you....and everyone else. His blood is a precious gift. His death is a great Victory, because he did rise from the grave. He beat death, and you should be very, very thankful.

If you, or anyone, want to talk offline to me, please let me know. Jesus has a free gift of a happy life on earth and eternity with him. I know it may sound very foreign to some, but it is something that is easy to talk about it. Jesus doesn't care who you are, where you are from, or what you've done. It's ALL forgiveable.

Even Laz? The guy was a crackhead and robbed a bank.

I live in Atlanta and listen to 92.9 the game so I know a lot about what went on at uga. Everyrhing itt is true so far. There's a reason 80% of uga fans wanted McGarrity gone instead of CMR.

I live in Marietta and work in Atlanta, and Hugh Douglas responds to my text messages to the station!

What high school district are you in?

Yup...Jesus saves. But Moses invests.

Nice! If you want to see a well coached hs basketball team, go check out Coach Crump at Harrison HS.

I dont know. CMR had what, top 10 recruiting classes almost every year, had the benefit of gratuitous pre season rankings (they always seemed to be in the top ten) and with the exception of a couple Tebow years, was in a really rotten SEC division (2nd worst to the Coastal)

Why he couldnt compete in the SEC East escapes me.

My impression was that he was a tired, complacent, coaster and a gratious loser.

ZERO excuse for getting blown off the field in the SEC EAST the last three years.

Every year since like 2000, I kept thinking he was gonna get fired.

I hope Im wrong, but I fear 2016 will be a typical CMR season and a harbinger: 9-3 with losses to ND, FSU and UNC (the only three teams we play) and another not winning the Coastal year.

I WANT Richt to succeed, but I will not ignore what these eyes have seen. That UGA product under Richt had a number of glaring deficiencies, and that's the reason the man was fired. Bad assistant coach hires, bad recruiting in the trenches and at QB ---not developing QB's, losing to Florida **** near annually, and failing to win big games. All that happened! Richt seemed to have gotten comfortable and took his hands off the wheel

I want Richt to win big here, but I am terrified of this hire. I hope he's learned some lessons and will regain the hunger he seemingly lost.

You KNOW that HE knows, that 8-4/ 9-3 and 2nd in the Coastal every year will keep him in sunny S FL till hes 80.

This is setting up like a retirement stint. Worried.

Pray he wins, cause there arent enough planes and banners that will EVER get him on the hot seat.

None of it really adds up. The timelines don't add up. Neither does the idea that UGA would rather be worse at football just to do it "the UGA way". Sounds like a pile of nonsense.

And if Richt let the AD tell him how to run the football team that's a very bad sign anyway. That's pretty feeble stuff.

Richt at any time could have told the guy "get your bytch *** back in the AD's office and leave me the fck alone, or I'm done here." He could have grabbed a HC gig somewhere else immediately with his résumé.

Instead, he willingly ate that facgit AD's ****? That's not great, man. You think Urb or Saban would let some facqit AD run their program?

All great points! Facts do not lie!

They are like the 7th richest school in that conference so don't understand the notion georgia is somehow set up to dominate the SEC year in and year out , my understanding was he paid some assistants out of his own pockets when they denied the staff raises .

Georgia's football program is among the most profitable in the SEC, and nation, dude, so not exactly sure what you are talking about. I think in like 2011 they profited the most money in the entire NCAA by making like over $50M of PROFIT just for their football program.

a few citations:
Most Profitable College Football Programs: #3 Georgia -
Forbes Welcome

You're talking about two different things. Making a profit is not the same thing as being rich. Being rich is more about having resources, while making a profit is more about how you use those resources.

The 7th in the SEC in revenues is correct, which means far more than what you're citing.

Georgia was 7th in the SEC in football revenue, 47% fewer resources than Alabama, 33% fewer than LSU, over 20% fewer than Florida. In fact, they were barely ahead of Kentucky! Georgia was 19th in the NCAA for public universities in revenues (barely half of what Oregon brings in).

Happens all the time though. They can't tell that they're gonna be worse at football by doing it a certain way. They don't know enough. It's no different than the people on here who insist on having the Pro Style offense because "it's Miami".
