In this age of ADD and premature ejaculator fans who thinks that real life football development is like switching out players on their fantasy league football teams....they seem to think you just plug in new players and coaches and you are winning conferences and championships the next year....

We were 7-6 last year with no discernible high quality QB with experience and no signs of real coaching EXCEPT on Defense and Diaz....

So the team took in upgrades with Enos and some portal transfers....

Diaz’s #TNM was about getting the current and recruited players EXCITED about coming to UM to help BRING US BACK....

“Bringing us back” means climbing the hill from our current SUCK POSITION.... which means there are going to be growing and learning pains...

Such as losing (closely) to #7 UF and UNC. And blowing “easy games” like VT—- See UGA/SCar as an example of “any given Saturday”....

You pimply-faced, gamer, fantasy league, jack-off addicts have zero comprehension of all the work it takes to get a team of 85 players to perform at the top 1% in order to get close to the CFBCG....

There are over 1,088,000 HS football players each year on average...

Only 2.8% of 28,000 get into Div IA football

Only about 1,300 players make it into the final 16 teams of CFB playoffs....around 1% of all recruited HS athletes...

Do you haters and “why haven’t we won the CFBCG” complainers understand how hard that is to do?

As i’ve Been saying:

1) We are in rebuilding mode (again! For the 18th year and 4th coach)

2) Improvement each day and each game is what we need to be looking at for 2019

I don't disagree with anything you said, but after 16 years, patience wears thin and optimism gets replaced with realism.

Sshhhhiiiitttt, every year has been a rebuilding year since 2003.

Couldn't agree more. Fans having a hard time differentiating between being frustrated at 15+ years worth of irrelevance, versus what it means every time there's a regime change; fifth different head coach since 2006—100-73 record since 2005 Peach Bowl.

I also love the contingent that thinks the defense has backslid solely because of Blake Baker and players (re: Bandy, etc.) have "regressed" while not taking into account the lost leadership and talent this team is dealing with, missing Jaquan Johnson, Sheldrick Redwine, Michael Jackson, Gerald Willis and Joe Jackson didn't take a toll.

It's 2019; Miami has to REBUILD when losing guys like that; it's nowhere near RELOAD mode. There was going to be a backslide on defense this year as the two-deep is nowhere near contender-level yet.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The old rebuilding argument. We’ve used this argument for how long now? One problem w this time around though:

That 7-6 team was previously a 10-3 team. That 7-6 team was projected to win the ACC Coastal and play in another NY6 game by most. It was alleged that the only reason y that 10-3 team became 7-6 was due to our offensive ineptitude.

Manny further validated this claim by his off season moves, keeping his defensive unit in tact, only adding a G5 DL coach to replace Simpson. By replacing THE ENTIRE offensive side of the ball, Manny was telling us and the world the ONLY thing wrong w 2018 was the offensive side of the ball. Therefore he indicated his TNM would compose of a brash brand of football (something he alluded to that the offense will match his defense).

This is not a rebuild and let’s personally lay this excuse to rest. This was a partial tear down, rooting out the supposed “problem” with this team which was the offensive coaches.

Miami is a competent staff away from being undefeated. That's why people are ****ed. 7-6 last year was a travesty, because when one looked at the talent available, there's no way Miami should have been that bad, with such a pathetically soft schedule. Miami managed to lose to teams they had no business losing to. Miami is playing significantly below their talent level. Period. Then again, mediocre coaches tend to have teams that do that.

You're going to get a responses all over the map.

You're not wrong about everything, but you can't dig your heels in that this is mostly a fan problem.

Manny brought some of this on himself too.

One: There's a lot of resources, two great ones on this website that breakdown a lot of the details and we are not a well coached or schemed team. It's not rebuilding stuff, it coaching breakdowns, fundamentals, etc.

Two: You can't message this "#TNM" stuff and sell it as NOT being a rebuild, then cry youth and experience when it doesn't work. Coaches manage expectations and buy themselves time all the time. It doesn't mean you're conceding anything either. People give first seasons a pretty good leash, unless you message you don't need it.

It’s not a rebuilding year (excep for OL). The last comprehensive rebuilding year was in 2012, and before that 2008. Everything else has been positional rebuilds, not Top to bottom.

It’s just that OL is the most important position on the team with the exception of QB, so this year’s issues stick out more.

Now factor in our strength of schedule (or lack thereof) this season too and your argument is even more fortified.

This is a horse **** post. We have more talent than any team we have faced perhaps other than Florida and the talent level there was close. Our coaches do not hide weaknesses of our players and don’t to anything to take advantage of our strengths. We struggled with central Michigan for ***** sake.

Enos is straight garbage. ******* tight end screen on the short side of the field on the goal line? Then he continues to play under center and overuse play action. The guy is making a million dollars a year, he deserves to be called out when he makes amateur play calls on a constant basis

Baker is worthless - hence manny had to take over the D. He should be fired, we have limited budget and limited coaches allowed. Use that money elsewhere.

O line coach - I would say fire him too but Enos doesn’t do anything to help the below average players we have at that position so perhaps he doesn’t deserve to go.
