It makes sense that the "The team formerly known as the Washington Redskins" would have a strict policy in place for management that says employees are prohibited from making any social media posts regarding politics or social issues because it could give ownership headaches. The HC gets paid several million dollars, it's not unreasonable for them to tell a coach "If you want to wade into hot button issues, you are free to resign and post to your hearts content."
...but the organization can cave to the woke by changing their team name, paint slogans of a terrorist organization on their field, wear stickers on their helmets, and support an organization who is now under federal investigation for money laundering, stealing, not filing taxes and shaking down companies who looted and rioted and canes over a billion dollars in damage... players and coaches can march and protest and wear t-shirts... but no fines.

ok...make sense. if your thinking aligns with the woke, you won't be fined.

Saban and Del Rio said nothing wrong. People who criticize what Saban said just look for trouble and also see things true the lens of racism and the colors of their skin in everything. There are hundreds of comments on this board of people who said they wouldn't send their kid to play at Jack State and Deion but Saban says it, and it all of a sudden is racist... lmao

del rio absolutely said something wrong. in some people eyes (me included) there is almost nothing worse than attacking your country. to equate some property damage and riots caused by some unrelated criminals during actual racial justice protests with an attack on the United States of America, well sorry but that is just a bridge too far.

I usually never comment on these things online, because all these conversations do is dig people further into their beliefs.

What happened (burnings, looting, rioting) over the summer in those cities can be bad and wrong at the same time what happened on January 6th can be bad and wrong. The media makes it seem like it can only be one. Just like I can whole heartily support LEO, recognize that the George Floyd situation was wrong, and understand/support why peaceful protest happened

We have a serious problem in this country when it comes to the ability to ask questions, critically think, step outside our comfort zones, and to truly emphasize with someone else’s opinion by putting ourselves in their shoes. We seek out our echo chambers and don’t really challenge ourselves to look at the big picture.

When the Uvalde school shooting happened it was insane how many people took to social media and how quickly it was politicized. Did anyone really take time to internalize what had happened? Not really, people went on social media and were shown what to feel. One of the best things I ever learned in college, was to always ask myself, “is this trying to make me feel something or teach me something”. Just like with the BLM protest and January 6th. I saw the same 2-3 post shared, each on the left and then on the right within 24 hours of the shooting.

TL/DR: this country is going down a weird path, losing our souls in real time

definitely was not going to succeed as a coup and most of the people that stormed the capitol probably had no idea they were being led in to the capitol by such dangerous groups such as the Proud Boys and the 3 percenters etc. however the suggestion by some that went on that day was some walk in the park or peaceful protest is obviously absurd. there was almost definitely high level coordination between the leaders of these groups and high level trump allies and possibly some members of the House of Representatives. it remains to be seen but we need to find out what trump knew if anything.
... and the FBI.

Jack Del Rio msut have recently decided that he doesn’t really like coaching minority athletes by wading into this debate with absolutely no prompting and no one really asking for his opinion. Of course its pretty hard to be a coach in the NFL and not coach a minority.
All that really happened is that Del Rio exposed himself for who he really is. He would have been better off keeping his mouth shut because no good will come of this unless you consider his firing to be some good (I do). More important to me is that I think he a retread, bum of a coach and if he wasn’t white, he wouldn’t even have a job.
Yes I know there are some retread black coaches but once a white coach breaks into the NFL it seems like it takes an act of Congress before someone stops offering him a job.
I see you been paying attention. Jack, like me, has a right to his opinion. I too think destructive protesting is bad for any cause. I also think it should be recognized there were some stooges placed to ignite rioting and some scum just looking for a chance to loot and steal. Thereby making good and peaceful protesters and the cause look bad. IMO the recent laws in Florida, directed at unruly protest, will have stooges placed to give reason to Police actions to shut down and arrest protesters.

While im not sure its minority athletes he wants distance from due to the fact that there are a ton of minority athletes on other rosters...I think the culprit here is the culture in the commanders organization.

If memory serves correct, Trump appointed the FBI Director. Are you accusing his FBI?

On June 7, 2017, President Donald Trump announced that he would nominate Christopher Wray as the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Trump wrote on Twitter, "I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow." Wray was officially nominated on June 26, 2017.[1][2][3]

The Senate Judiciary Committee held a confirmation hearing for Wray on July 12, 2017. On July 20, 2017, the committee voted 20-0 in favor of Wray. The Senate confirmed Wray by a vote of 92-5 on August 1, 2017. Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) voted against Wray's nomination. With the exception of J. Edgar Hoover, who was not subject to the current confirmation process, former FBI Director James Comey was the only nominee before Wray who was not unanimously confirmed to the position. In 2013, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) cast the only vote against his nomination. Wray was sworn in as FBI director on August 2, 2017.[

Do you honestly think a thousand or so idiots were going to succeed in overthrowing the US government? Maybe because my parents came from countries where there were actual successful coups, I have a different standard for judging threats to democracy.

Shirtless weirdos wearing American flag capes and Viking helmets and running through the halls of congress knocking down marble busts seem a lot more like drunken frat boys than serious revolutionaries. Now if elected officials were, in fact, encouraging the behavior, those elected officials should be held accountable. They should be banned from ever holding elected office again for encouraging sedition. Denying election results isnt seditious ( as I said in another post, that's a tradition as old as the country,) but encouraging rioters to break into buildings to try and stop the election certification is crossing the line and is an extremely serious issue. I completely agree with a congressional investigation to identify which officials encouraged the rioters. However, as far as it being an organized coup that had a realistic chance of stopping the election certification and putting Trump back in power, I don't see it.
Success has nothing to do with an attempt. The biggest bumbling idiot that tries to rob a bank is still a bank robber.

I was being facetious because its frankly impossible to be an NFL coach if you want to make comments that minorities will take in a negative manner considering the league is about 70% minority? I just don’t understand why anyone would make a comment that is potentially offensive to so many people and then turn around and expect to coach them like he didn’t say anything.

Friend, compadre, mi amigo;

I like to speak from an intelligent standpoint v. an emotional & illogical pov. Two yrs ago, we saw a group of militants storm The Capital in the hopes of catching politicians who were in opposition of The POTUS, w/ the intent to inflict bodily harm. They broke through barricades, broke windows, doors, ignoring secular authorities, & the intent was to disrupt the democracy. Yet, that’s called a “dust up.”

OK, on the other hand, we have a QB who’s tired of convoluted laws that don’t protect ppl like me. U wanna know how many times I’ve been pulled over in my city just for driving a nice car? W/e u guess, it’s too low. U wanna know how often LA Co. Sheriffs have pulled a gun on me b/c I fit a description or left a girl’s house in a certain neighborhood? Whatever # u have in ur head, it’s too low. I’ve had my neighbor’s autistic son get brutalized & murdered by Compton Police (which is y they don’t exist anymore) in front of her home, all b/c he was outside naked, incoherent b/c he wasn’t on his meds.

That’s reality, champ, & it’s hard for many to fathom that in the land of the free, ppl of certain color & ethnic backgrounds get treated as second class citizens. That’s what the kneel was for; it wasn’t to disrespect a lot of great qualities The U.S have to offer, but to accentuate a time for a change. How can u pledge an allegiance to a system that’s broken? That’s what Kaep was saying; and, since he initially was sitting on a bench, a Green Beret told him to kneel instead b/c sitting is being disrespectful. So he obliged; yet ask some, and that’s the worst thing in America’s history. Lol.

Regarding BLM, personally I thought it was bull chit. U can ask anyone in my family, & I said this movement feels like a propaganda for something else. The fact is, BLM brought more attention to the LBGTQ community than my own. There’s a specific reason for that, & the founders became rich off of it, which they r now under investigation. They ain’t nowhere to be found now, right? Buffalo just happened & them chicks is ghost city. With that being said, pls understand ppl riot out of pure angst & anger. All of our major riots have been spawned from deliberate injustice, whether that’s the Watts Riots in the 60’s due to LAPD killing an innocent man, Riots in the 90’s for LAPD brutalizing a driver, Riots in the 1920’s in Rosewood, Fl for killing young black men & making it public event.

My guy, there’s a reason E Reed vented his frustration; yes this is a country geared for free speech, but like anything, just b/c it’s free doesn’t mean it doesn’t come at a cost. Do I think we live in a hyper sensitive world, now? Absolutely; but, there’s a stark difference between hyper sensitive & flat out ignorant. Calling an insurrection as a ‘dust up’ is ignorant, especially when said insurrection resulted in the loss of lives. So what’s worst: a ball player making a stand for social injustice or a militant mob looking to impose harm on those elected to office?

Hmmm - your post being from an intelligent viewpoint vs an emotional one…. You have quite a few holes in your J6 think tank.

- That “mob” was incited by Antifa and yes, fbi informants. (No different than the fbi setting up the fake “Gretchen Whitmer kidnap” plot). I’m sure Proud boys and 3%, etc also were involved.
- Ray Epps anyone?
- Plenty of video out there with the MAGA crowd calling them out in the middle of breaking windows.
- Pelosi and the chief denied up to 20k National guardsmen the morning of J6.
- An unarmed former marine was shot and killed in the Capitol by an officer under zero threat of loss of life.
- Capitol police opening doors from inside allowing entry.
- Tons of surveillance video not allowed for public consumption.
- A “pipe bomber” who still walks free somehow today after planting devices at both RNC and DNC (as if we don’t have the means to take the guy down…. Inside job anyone?).

I’d love to know where you get “militants stormed the Capitol to inflict harm on members of Congress”????

That’s an emotional, sensationalist statement if I’ve ever seen one as I’ve still yet to see any weaponry on anyone there other than law enforcement.

There’s a lot of facts you either don’t know about or don’t care to recognize as it doesn’t go with the agenda.

So yea…. In comparison to small businesses being burned to the ground, people being murdered, law enforcement coming under siege (cars burned, flipped, precincts burned, officers attacked, neighborhoods vandalized), and cities destroyed, it sure as **** looks like a “dustup.”

I wonder what David Dorn would think reading your post…if only he was still able…
