Alabama vs Clemson game thread

Watson is the real deal

He didn't play so good the past 2 games, but this game he's hitting all the throws he should be.
He's also the only real competition Kaaya has at this point in time as top Draft Elligible QB.

I think both come back for their senior years.

Really? I see no way Watson stays after next year. He'll be a top 10 pick if he has anywhere near the success he did this war and could only hurt his stock staying

Got away with a block in the back on that drive as well as holding. SEC bagmen came prepared

I think both Kaaya and Watson play 4 years as they each of things to work on. Watson is going ahead of Kaaya though.

eh, don't be so sure. He is very good, but I won't say he's definitely a top 10 pick. He has a good shot at being a 1st round pick if he entered next year, but not a guarantee. Next years QB class isn't too good, worse than this year.
Remember, NFL scouts don't care about college stats too much. Stuff like accuracy%, TD:INT ratio, sure, but they don't care about yards. And as good as he is at running the ball, we already saw what happens his freshman year, when he got injured all the time. he's gotta be smarted when he runs.

Other than Kaaya and Watson though and maybe Kiel or something, I don't know of any QB's that are going to be getting a lot of attention for top QB in the draft, unless someone comes out of nowhere like Paxton Lynch did this year.

Disagree, I think Kaaya goes ahead of Watson if they are both in the same draft. However while I think Kaaya will stay his Senior year, I think Watson will leave next year.

You don't think with mobile quarterbacks starting to have success in the NFL and Watson's ability to pass and throw that he won't be picked pretty early in the draft? Now if he goes in 2017 it may be a different story but Watson seems to be the real deal.

What round do you have Watson in and I understand it's still very early to project true sophomore's.

I think Watson leaves early if he stays healthy all next year. He takes a lot of hits as a running QB and has already had a knee injury. Unless he has a terrible year, it won't make much sense to stay. The new collective bargaining agreement and rookie salaries have closed the gap between draft pick salaries. If you're going to go in the first or second round, it's not worth coming back for another year to try to be a higher pick.

I wonder which of Bama's 50 assistant coaches pointed out that ineligible downfield. Drive killer right there.

***ing clock operator works for bama too go ***ing figure god i hate that ***ing program

Wow. Has does someone upstairs not buzz down to the officials and tell them that they ****ed the clock up. That is absolutely ridiculous and should not happen in any game, let alone the national championship game.
