Alabama vs Clemson game thread

Cot dang Coker is keeping Clemson is in the game. He is awful.

Bama defense is stout but their starting front 7 are slow.

Clemson should be able to spread them out and move the ball.

Clemson is hanging with Alabama and Clemson only beat Miami by 58 points, so maybe Miami's not that far away from being good again.

Slow? not sure what you're watching, they are big and quick.

Watching the game on mute because ESPN blatant sec homerism makes me sick

It seems that way but i remmeber whe we were up in 2000 they slurped us heavy. We gotta keep kids home , if u take the sfla kids out these teams wouldnt even make it.

I think Watson leaves early if he stays healthy all next year. He takes a lot of hits as a running QB and has already had a knee injury. Unless he has a terrible year, it won't make much sense to stay. The new collective bargaining agreement and rookie salaries have closed the gap between draft pick salaries. If you're going to go in the first or second round, it's not worth coming back for another year to try to be a higher pick.
Smart and very athletic, great vision he'd be crazy not to go pro immediately.

Their front 7 is not that fast. Their LBs are all in the 250+ range.

Don't get me wrong, their savages, but speed is not their strength.

He just has to worry about actually staying healthy. Reminds me of RG3.

Urban Meyer-"If Deshaun Watson isn't playing, Alabama is blowing this game out".

What? I'll never understand that logic. If you take away anyone's best player in a game, they probably lose. It goes both ways. If Henry wasn't playing, Clemson would be killing Alabama.

The SEC homerism is just ridiculous. Now the only reason the other team is playing so tough, is because they have one guy who is really good. Henry has 128 of Alabamas 195 total yards and both TD's. That's right, Bama would have 67 yards at half without Henry. But if deshaun Watson isn't playing, bama rolls. Idiots.

This game will be an education for all Canes players.

If Richt plays his cards right, we are likely to face Clemson in the ACCCG within two years.

Think he was just alluding to the Bama d line. Clemson had 9 carries for 12 yards on players not named Watson. He was saying if not for Watson play making then it would be domination by Bama d line, or at least that's how I took it

No, that was the second time he said it right before the end of half. At the beginning of half time he actually said if Watson weren't playing they would be getting destroyed.

Bamas lines are on that juice it's beyond obvious, you cant be that big and muscular unless your one of 1% of genetic freaks that are natural.

I think both come back for their senior years.

Really? I see no way Watson stays after next year. He'll be a top 10 pick if he has anywhere near the success he did this war and could only hurt his stock staying

I think both Kaaya and Watson play 4 years as they each of things to work on. Watson is going ahead of Kaaya though.

Disagree, I think Kaaya goes ahead of Watson if they are both in the same draft. However while I think Kaaya will stay his Senior year, I think Watson will leave next year.

You don't think with mobile quarterbacks starting to have success in the NFL and Watson's ability to pass and throw that he won't be picked pretty early in the draft? Now if he goes in 2017 it may be a different story but Watson seems to be the real deal.

What round do you have Watson in and I understand it's still very early to project true sophomore's.

Oh I think He'll go early, I just don't think he'll be top 10 at this point. I think right now he likely a mid to late 1st round pick. And while I don't think Kaaya has done too well, I think he has everything the NFL wants in a QB. Hackenburg for example, would be a 1st round pick this year if he didn't absolutely blow. He still probably will be drafted somewhere in the 2nd round, and he has had a truly horrible 2 years in a row. I think as long as Kaaya doesn't absolutely fall apart, he WILL be a 1st round pick.
