Al Golden and player development..

There's never been a LB in the history of football that's been capable of covering a RB. Can't happen. Those Lawrence Taylor and Ray Lewis guys should just go **** themselves. The minute they put on a jersey with a number in the fifties renders them incapable of covering a RBr. They should just play Snake instead.

Taylor was a pass rushing LB, show me some examples of ray lewis covering a rb on the edge in space with no help over the top? i'll wait. makin yourself look real stupid buddy boy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4qqCaSLoUI
...and Spence was hurt. There's no help over the top for Spence either.

Nites just took it the face. Lmao. Some how he will try to discredit this.
he wont try to discredit this.....he will just find some other play to hang his hat on

Guys, it wasn't the MLB and the help over the top was there. You all can't see it only 'Nites' can...

are there really retards in here claiming that linebackers shouldnt be covering running backs?

is this real life?

in the NFL its obviously alot different especially on the whole blown assignments thing........but im pretty confident that ray lewis has the most career INTs and PDs among LBs?

he had 6 picks just a few years ago

that tells me that hes more than capable of pass coverage

I noticed the same thing about Nites ability to see things that we mortals, limited by the traditional visible electromagnetic spectrum, can't see.

There HAD to be someone else in that play that was operating in the deep ultraviolet light spectrum, or the high infrared frequencies of the light spectrum, which of course, we can't see but gifted observers such as Nites CAN see. Who knows? Could'a been playing in the X-Ray range, and our dumb asses wouldn't have known a thing about it.

That's why folks get so frustrated with Nites. We simply don't have his gifts to see the unseen as he can.

So, lets lighten up a bit on Nites and defer to his wide spectrum vision.

Lies! Nites says Linebackers don't pass coverage. Lol. I remember Luke Kuechly covering streeter(4.3 speed) step for step....naw couldn't have been. Linebackers don't pass cover.

Has anyone discussed the VATECH debacle?

Nope. Nites hasn't moved on from the Maryland game. Guy sounds like it's his ex and he's a broken record talking about the game.

once again this dude is lost. The "mlb covering the rb in space play" happened vs Virginia. pay attention it's free. ,elarn something about the team you supposedly root for.
im gonna help you to elarn something

there is something you seem to be overlooking or just ignoring while attempting to make this pathetic argument and pointing to the same few plays over and over.......that was a pretty common problem over the last 5 years or so......especially with DBs

its called........ready?

a missed assignment

in your constant quest to do the impossible and try and make golden seem less competent that your BF shantard...........you seem to be ignoring the fact that missed assignments and bad angles were a staple of the LBs and DBs on this team for the better part of a half dozen seasons.........going all the way back to the romeo davis and glenn cook days when your BF was still the DC

he insisted on playing davis despite the proof that he wasnt a college LBer........theres a reason he had the nickname "casper" among the fan base.......because he was never seen making a play

why?

outside of being slow and having ****** football instincts.......he was typically woefully out of position thus rendering him unable to make said plays

Who missed their assignment on the play i'm talking about vs UV? I'll wait.

Then you should have no problem showing me a play in which ray lewis is covering a 185 rb, on the edge in space with no help over the top right?

IF VT is on the strong side back or TE, why did he double the WR with McGee? Telemaque got sucked up to far thinking about the down and distance trying to help McGee. Both the strong side back and the TE stayed in to block. There was no one for Telemaque to cover except the WR or the RB. Gaines did ***** up by giving the RB a free release. Miami used to do a lot of damage with Davenport on seam routes matched up against LB's.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ2S6BojY3w. Look around 3:40 mark. I still don't see anyone helping Spence over the top against Spiller.

Basically you been crying about Jimmy Gaines covering perry with no safety help this whole thread, and how it was bad coaching. In this you been shown Shannon(who you hold in high regards) did the same thing with spence, and Frank Spazini, who is one of the better defensive minded coaches did it with Luke Kuechly agaisnt us on our best receiver.

Mcgee is at the bottom of the screen. How the **** is VT helping him out. lmfao #29 jojo is closer to mcgee than VT is.

let me break it down for you.

UV personel from bottom of the screen ( strong/wide side to the short side)

Mcgee- Wr
JoJO - strong side Te or RB
VT - strong side Te or RB
Williams- wr
gaines - back in motion.

Miami's two other lb's both blitzed ( 1 from each side)

That's called cover ZERO .

One of the many coaching blunders that cost Miami games is the point. This dude was suppose to be an up grade. I expect that BS from a pee wee league fill in.

None of those are examples of what of what I'm talking about. Not nan one but atleast you tried. Jus a complete lack of undrstanding. I mean zero understanding. none. LMFAO.

I guess the big question that hasn't been answered is did Shannon make a mistake having Spence cover Spiller with no help over the top? The fact that it was Williams and not McGee doesn't matter on the play with Gaines. VT should have recognized that the man he was responsible for was staying in to block. He bit on the short route in front of him, leaving Gaines to cover Perry and Gaines missed the tackle.

I think the main Title Thread has absolutely been crushed by all this off-topic bull****.What is everyone's thoughts about Al Golden and player development?

IMO,Golden did wonders at Temple, things other coaches couldn't do or wouldn't do.Not too many coaches can take 2 and 3-star players and a 0 star player and turn them into early round draft picks.Tom Lemming,Mike Mayock,Mel Kiper,Bruce Feldman have all basically said the same thing...."top 5 recruiter, outstanding coach, great at player development, wait until he coaches a few years in Miami"....ENOUGH SAID
