After a 1/4 of the Season, whats your season prediction now?

Pre-season Prediction was 9-3, possibly 8-4 after Grace and Quan were booted. The players seem to have bought in to the system so far.. Prediction now: 10-2, With a few breaks our way and the penalties cleaned up 11-1.

Still think we drop two games along the way. VT on the road still scares me and UNC, FSU, ND won't be cake walks. 10-2 feels right to me, which would be no slouch of a first season for Richt.

I know ND has had troubles this year but Brian Kelly is still a great offensive mind and they have some talent. That is a tough road game.

Duke just beat them! SMH

Our Youth will catch up to us sometime this season we will lose 1 or 2 games that we should win.
And FSU and ND rivalry games anything can happen in those games.

It's possible everything breaks our way, but I think this is the most likely scenario.

And can we not refer to the season as 1/4 over? It's seriously hashing my mellow.

Preseason I had us at 9-3, but honestly undefeated is a reality. FSU's defense is trash, UNC is a little suspect, VT could be tough but when they e been tested they lost, ND is garbage. Pitt will be tough but it's at home. UVA easy, NC State road game could be rough but winnable. And then Duke is easy. So 12-0 really isn't out of the question

I figured 8-4 pre-season. Now I would say 10-2 or 9-3. As some have already stated, depth will bite us eventually. Our October schedule is brutal, but all of the games i would have marked as an 'L' are winnable.

But hasn't depth also bitten Notre Dame?

You guys calling for an undefeated season either don't know how college football works or you're trollin. I love my Canes, but going undefeated takes a rare combination of an elite football team and a little luck. I don't believe that we are quite elite yet...

LeftOut looking to set the expectations too high so when we don't reach them he can rail on Rick.

Only flighty chicks get carried away 3 games into a season. We're going to lose a couple, and they'll probably be against inferior teams who play cleaner than us on that day. There are no teams clearly better than us on our schedule, but you need tremendous good fortune to go through an entire season unbeaten.

Goal is the same. Win 10 and win the Coastal.

We have very good front line talent. Always have. Manny has done a really job building experience on Defense.

Barring major injuries, we are more than talented enough to go 12 - 0.
We have good coaching. Our schedule is our biggest strength

My prediction right before the season was 9-3, we have played better than I expected (biggest concern was depth) and basically everyone on our schedule that was deemed a threat has looked bad. My prediction now would have to be 11-1 but I could see us going anywhere from 10-2 to 12-0.

How many future 1st rounders on this team, and BC still almost beat them. All it takes is turnovers, dropped passes at the wrong time, and/or missed assignment on defense, and they lose to a team they should have beaten.

GT will be a test, but beating FSU is the real milestone. It will be the first team with equivalent, if not better talent in some positions, with a balanced offense. I could see them running it up to the ACCCG if they beat FSU. Richt has them focused.

So? I didnt specifically say ND would be an 'L'. It would only take 1-2 injuries to greatly impact our defensive capabilities.

Yep. Nothing has change for me, I expected to be 3-0 going into GT. No team went undefeated last season, but this guy is expecting us to be at the end of the season. SMH.

i'll stick to my original 9-3 until we start playing some competition... though i am happy o see us finally beating the sisters of the poor like we should be.

Still 9-3 hoping for 10-2, should know a little more after the GT game, still haven't played anyone yet.
