Aaron Feld, Rugby Guy and the meaning of life

Animated GIF

Weird how the stepping down coincided with the expiration of his contract. And when he quickly transitions to another college job, the rationale regarding family will evaporate.
This is ******* funny, because Aaron Feld did not accept another college job since him leaving. He's the COO of a gym/health lab. So the rationale for him leaving actually was about family and not something else.

Here's a quick hint for everyone: If a "gym coach" or a "strength coach" is highly aggressive in commenting on stuff and speaking on how everyone is wrong except him and his beliefs, he is so full of **** that no one, and I repeat no one, should buy his services or associate with him - partly because he talks out of his *** but mostly because he's a douche.

Ya..... always tends to be the case. If you are yelled at by the world chances are you are the problem.

I do not miss the stache.

This post on X by Rugby Guy just confirms that he’s a legit ******, and doesn’t know the first thing about training or football.
Eh I see his point. There's overtraining. It's about to be a long season against grown a-- men.

You can also be a dawg at recovery which is more than laying on the couch next to rugby guy tweeting replies to Jon Gruden

Can we stop pretending that this is overtraining?

Please?

Jimmy Radcliffe is a pioneer in plyometric training. Has written a lot of scientific material and books that help with understanding that topic, as plyometrics is somewhat gatekept and very few people really train it.

In regards to the other stuff, I have no ******* idea how and why that rugby guy is taking victory laps. Didn't prove a point, didn't make a point, but keeps posting dumbass BS on the internet for some clout. At least now we know that he's full of **** and just talks out of his ***.
TIL. Good looking out. Yeah the rugby dude is a clown. He’s doubling down on hating Bain’s demeanor and work ethic.

Kinda odd that the Vern guy took umbrage with Feld’s statement about improving body balance increases speed in the OP, given Radcliffe’s speciality. I see Marcus Mariotta wrote the foreword to his most recent plyometrics book so I’m 100% curious if there was a bit of a power struggle once Mario was named HC. Anyways, c’est la vie.

The rugby guy presents himself on Linkedin with a crown and a cape as if he's a king.

**** outta here.

I mean honestly it's not training much of anything for an elite player like Bain, so over working when you should be in recovery after practiSe.
Exercising fundamental basics to retain fundamental technical aspects is important in any sport.

Not every practice should be designed to move the needle. That's the part that some of these gym douches don't understand.

I agree with you on fundamentals. My dad was a hitting coach for 20y. I've done my share of tee work.

My question would be what is pre-practice like? More/longer isn't always better. It's about to be a long season for a guy that I will be watching every Bucs game because of.

Most research I've seen say the way to get to contracts #2 and #3 in the NFL is to arrive early for pre-practice sessions with the AT staff and stay after for post-practice recovery with the AT staff.

I don’t know what Vern’s claims are but he was nowhere close to being in a power struggle with Feld. He also was more of just hanging around. He was never affiliated or even consulting at Oregon.

I don't think doing 30 minutes of technique work a day is going to detail his season.

Because it's not much more than that. I'm not going to tear my Achilles because I am doing one touches with a soccer ball on a wall, nor is it going to ruin my training time or disassociate myself with facing potential opponents and I have never heard of that in my life. It trains my fundamental base that allows me to do other stuff easier.

Yeah I’m moreso thinking along the lines of Vern publicly bashing Feld on behalf of the reduced role, in regards to football S&C, his good friend Radcliffe received once Mario became HC and brought Feld to Oregon.

Nothing is real but the money and the miles. We all have a limited number of miles our body can take, some less/more than others.

Elite athletes get injured doing basic drills all the time.
