LMAO. They split their guys extremely wide and guess what Golden and Dorito did. They kept playing gap control. We'll agree to disagree cause you clearly have an agenda. I was on the Golden bandwagon up until the VT game. The UL game sealed it for me. If you can't be objective then there's no point in having a discussion. If Golden turns the team around in 2014 it will be great and I will admit I'm wrong. But I have zero doubt you will come up with some sort of excuse if we get more of the same in 2014. Make sure to save that Ryan Williams excuse you may end up needing it.

Real talk though. AL Golden, the master of the media and public relations was deafening in his silence during the pedo state situation.

Since we want to be "rational" here. Any rational thinker will automatically know that Al was leg humping the schit outta PSU trying to get that job at that time.

They spurned him like Sandusky did when he was done with his victims. Then he came back clearly a beaten man. He doesn't have his mojo anymore because he knows he exposed himself during that whole debacle.

He's a beta in an alphas clothing.

You're being disingenuous by leaving out from your context that HE TOOK OVER REBUILDING JOBS.
Naturally with REBUILDING JOBS coaches will go through down periods were there rankings will suck.
Thing about Golden is that his defenses improved every year. Had he stayed at Temple for example, future projections based on trend of improvement year over year would have continued into a top 10 ranking. Obviously being at Temple there would be a cap but still one can conclude his defenses would have been perennial top 20.

UM is a family yet you all consistently call out the actual family members, i.e. the players who give it everything they have on the field.

It's always how much Shayon sucked or how horrible Highsmith is. The grown *** men in charge are untouchable though. The foreigners from New Jersey are protected versus the kids (most of which are from the area) who commit here.

Funny how that "family" thing works.
 
I believe that the program, under Golden and co., is in better shape today than when he took it over. He hasn't been perfect by any means but can anyone deny the program is not in better shape than when Randy was removed?

I've articulated my displeasure with our current staff plenty of times. Particularly with several charts and graphs. I'm a numbers guy.

I've compared our defensive rankings to teams that play against teams with unquestionably more talent than they have (Ole Miss, Maryland,Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Miss. St.), teams with offenses that execute far worse than ours (Va Tech, Florida, South Florida), teams with actual sanctions (USC, Penn State) and offenses that have worse TOP than us (Oregon & Baylor). Guess what? These teams not only had better defenses than us, they were also top 50 at worst!

I've compared Golden's defensive history as a DC and HC. Charted his team defense rankings as well as scoring defense rankings. Guess what? He's barely average! Average total defense ranking of 68 and average scoring defense rank of 47. Should that give us hope?

I charted this seasons game's against FBS opponents: what their total offense ranking was, their average ypg and what they did against us. Guess what? We only held two teams below their season average for total yards. One of those teams, FSU, still gained over 500 yards and the other, Georgia Tech, gained over 400 yards. We only held two of our FBS opponents below 400 total yards. That's ******* pathetic.

In case you're wondering, the top 60 defenses allowed less than 400 ypg and we couldn't even do that.

Don't act like those of us who've lost faith in Golden and this staff don't bring intelligent discussion to this board. Because when we do bring numbers into the equation to back our displeasure those who still have faith point to the 1 or 2 seasons in the man's entire career where his defense wasn't mediocre to complete trash.

You ******* nailed it my man.

Not only that, but what kind of ******* talks **** about guys like Shayon and Highsmith, two guys that never got in trouble, never hurt their teammates, never *****ed and moaned? Cornelius the same way.

It's not their fault the ****ers in charge put them in a spot maybe they shouldn't have been in. ******* guys gave it 1,000% to this university, and if the coaches that forced them into those spots would have given half of those guys efforts in recruiting/development, well they would have been hard nosed depth chart members and special teams contributors, like their talent level dictates.
