A few things

Dixon didn't commit. Maybe he surpirses everyone and comes to Miami, but it's not looking that way is it?

Doesn't matter if we offered Treon at QB, he's still a top 5 kid and him not coming here but going to FSU is a miss.

Those other kids you mentioned are good prospects but not the top 10 kids in South Florida. I'm going by rivals and not Miami fanboy bent logic.

Lol ok so you go by rivals fine. Lets take another angle.

247 top ten prospects in south Florida

1. Cook - Gator
2. Lane - Gator
3. Kc - Cane
4. Valentine - Cane
5. Sony - UGA
6. Rudolph
7. Darling - Cane
8. Yearby - Cane
9. Thomas - Cane
10. Dixon

Then, if you look at Florida's top 100 prospects, we have 7 more prospects from South Florida alone committed to us. 12 south Florida kids in the top 100 is pretty good to me. Then add other Florida kids like Owens, Harris, Gibbons, etc. Then mix it in with OOS kids like Young, Jenkins, Berrios, etc.

Also I forgot Rudolph was committed as well since we already missed on him.

While its not looking good for Rudolph or Dixon at the moment, it wasnt looking good for coley or Howard at the time either. Reserve judgement till the LOI's are in. Dixon is a 50/50 shot between us and OSU. I bet Dixon will flip flop between the two schools a couple times before he makes his final decision this weekend.

OK fine, say we have 4 or 5 out of the top 10 committed. That's still not good enough. Maybe that bums everyone out but then they need to get thicker skin.

LMAO at that dude asking for fake news as long as it's good. Grow some thicker skin ppl.

It is what it is.

We're not recruiting well enough right now to win a national title, and that's what we all want. The talent is down here this year but if we want a championship team that means closing on guys like Sony and Cook and Rudolph and Lane and Dixon etc.

Championships are won and lost right now. Recruiting season.

You're just new to recruiting. Go back to the classes from 1998-2001, and tell me if we got all 10 of south Florida's best players.

The earliest Rivals goes back to is 2002.

1. Nate Harris - Miami
2. Nate Salley - Ohio State
3. Max Jean Gilles - Georgia
4. Terrell Walden - Miami
5. Baraka Atkins - Miami
6. Terrell McGill - LSU
7. Kareem Brown - Miami
8. Darnell Jenkins - Miami
9. Glenn Sharpe - Miami
10. Alex Pou - Miami

That's 7/10.

How many rings does that class have?

You going by Rivals, huh? A site known to be off on evaluations of South Florida prospects. Ermon Lane is better football player than Valentine? Garbage.

Yeah, go have a look at the sticky on this very board that was made by the staff of this website. The one that ranked all the south florida kids. It looks kind of like this list.

You guys are doing the fan thing and inflating our commits and deflating the kids we're losing. **** yall were doing it to Demetrius Jackson last night, and that kid is a straight stud. Yall were saying we cut his scholly, etc etc.

Now he's back and he's the best ever.

Some delusional mother****ers around here.

The same "staff" that is clearly biased about certain guys. If you really treat the Canesinsight staff's prospect evaluations as gospel you are delusional as the people you're attacking. How many on this "staff" were blowing Ermon Lane before the season started? Any dope coming here for prospect evaluations deserves all the ridicule that a message board can provide.

You want to bring up a list of the "top kids" from back then. As you know recruiting and the whole recruiting sites/ranking system is way different now.

lol at calling Treon a miss. C'mon son.

Same thing was said about All-SEC Freshman Skai Moore

And Teddy Bridgewater. Oh and Amari Cooper, remember the excuses was "guys like him grow on trees, like Robert Lockhart better" lol. Doesn't seem legit. People calling Alex Collins "soft" meanwhile he goes on to being SEC freshman of the year.

What's funny is people crowning Fat boy al and son for "working hard" at recruiting. Lol wut????? When did people start giving out participation points. It's actually very weird how many excuses some people make for this guy. I mean its gotten to the point where mother****ers are saying it's ok for fat boy al to miss on kids because he's "working hard". NEVER heard that before.

This.

Totally. Let's fire him. And his entire staff. Start from scratch. **** the fact that we were a misstep in an investigation away from crippling sanctions and this guy is pulling in top 10 classes. Or that he's improved our record each year he's been here. Or that he has increased our recruiting in the inner-city of Miami with people like you *****ing at him from a message instead of supporting the team from SLS. Is he perfect? No. Do we need to make a few tweaks and changes? Yes. But yeah... Let's start completely over instead and see where that gets us because you know, it's expected to go from program life support to smashing the national championship trophy over our opponent's head. Some of you guys must have an IQ of around 70

You saying we don't want to sign 7 out of those 10 kids from this year?

Top five class with defensive stars and the most important thing TWO quality QBs in back to back years. Elite QBs are what can turn classes even in the 20's championship caliber.

Also this might be a popular opinion but if we miss on Dixon do we go all in on CJ Worton? Teammates with Brady, everyone says he is way better than his brother (who is a STUD at UCF), he is a very productive and tough slot WR from south FL, and the best part is we could steal him from the Noles. They already lost a WR to UF and Ole Miss imagine if they lost 3 with Winston QBing.

What? This guy pointed out that in 2002 UM did In fact get most of the top talent.

Those players signed because we just won the title that year and not one of those players were worth a dam in college or the pros. What's the over under for average yrs in pro for that group?

You know those that have been around the process for a while. The classes we have had that were the highest ranked ones, mainly turned out to be duds. the middle of the road ones that produced some of the most NFL talent, not so highly ranked.

It's December, not Feb. let it all go through the process. Hope for the best, and enjoy the rest.

Chill out, it's all good.

What top 10 classes? He had ONE top 10 class.

He had the 36th ranked class in 2011 (OUCH). OK fine, he gets a pass because that was a short recruiting year.

He had the #9 ranked class in 2012.... which is OK but not great. But before you crown the guy, UF had the #3 ranked class and FSU had the #6 ranked class that same year. Also, we signed 33 kids that year.... which inflated our ranking.

He had the #20 ranked class last year.

This is not Miami level recruiting.

and @Ernie & Tpo.... Ernie is talking about how missing on lane, Sony, and cook is the reason we won't win national championships. In 2002, we signed 7/10 top kids in south Florida. How many rings did that class win? Now look at contributors from 1998-2001 from south Florida, look where they were ranked, and ask yourself how many rings did they win.

You guys are putting too much stock into the 'top ten' from south Florida nonsense. No matter what site it comes from. At the end of the day the sites aren't infallible and you can see this. In 2008, I don't think you could ask for a better south Florida class. Looked what happened. Evaluations > Stars. This past summer when Jackson committed everyone was mad at golden, now people are fearful to lose him.

Also, Valentine, Moten, and Darling are in the same talent level as a prospect as all of those guys you previously listed.

I agree that it does come down to recruiting, but classes should be judged on performance not potential. Or #1 class filled with south Florida kids should have shown everyone this.

It's December, just relax.

And 1998 - 2001 were arguably our best since 1984.

Here's part of the recruitnik's problem. He assumes that the kids are akin to mindless cattle that can be swayed and maneuvered by the most skillful recruiter. Actually, the average level of intelligence and savvy of the recruits is probably about the same as that of the posters on canesinsight. Are you completely wishy-washy? Fine! Neither are most of the kids. In addition, each kid, you may be surprised to hear, actually has his own individual goals and preferences. They are not all whatever stereotype a lot of us think they are or should be. They'll go where they choose to go, and the adults only have so much influence.

What are you saying, that Cook, Sony, Lane aren't legit Miami caliber players? That we're better off losing them? Delusional.

One thing in all this bull**** is perfectly clear: the same group of ******** that made the main board unreadable are having the same impact here.

Fact. Not a rumor. No need for an insider.
