Oh so Lammons is elite now? Lol. Ahhhh No. He is a good athlete who plays quarterback and would MAYBE make a great DB. End of Story. Lets not make it seem like he is a must get all of a sudden.

To each his own. Everybody isnt gonna be the Honey Badger or Phillip Buchanon. 5'8-5'9 corners who can ball out of control are RARE. PB was a GREAT athlete and HB had TWO other first round picks in the secondary with him having his back. (Claiborne and Reid) JMO.
It matters what you consider elite. He is a **** good football player. He plays QB and safety because that what helps out his team the most. Not until recently were the best athletes just specializing at CB in high school. Let me guess VH3 wasnt elite because he played a lot of safety last year

Well it doesn't seem so clear to me.

Why do you think it's clear is doesn't have an issue with UM? Because he said so? Ever pay attention to public relations?

The guy made it pretty obvious last winter that he had an issue with UM. Hard to see how it's transparently clear now that it's resolved.

He got mad about one incident. He cares more about his kids than Miami as he should. He got emotional one **** time and acted out it happens with high school coaches. Since that time he has said a lot of positive things about Miami and had others commit to the school. Just because a man doesn't push a kid to go to a school doesn't mean he has something against it

Maybe. That's a theory. Another theory is that he lost his cool and let his true feelings out. What he's said since then doesn't prove isht to me. There are PR reasons why people say things like he and AG have said, and that don't mean for a second they don't say other things when the mike is turned off.

And while it may not prove that he has something against UM if he doesn't push a kid to go there, it hardly disproves it, either. I'll let his own words and conduct inform the discussion. Time will tell, I guess. Until then, I suggest you're naive or in denial if you think Ice doesn't have issues with UM or the current staff.

It's not about pushing kids to one school or another. It's about fostering an atmosphere where you don't **** around with the local school or string along the local school to increase your visibility. Ice appears to be doing quite the opposite.

Not sure if serious.

His own words and conduct says he doesnt have a problem with the school

Are you trolling or ignorant? His own words and conduct say he _does_ have a problem with the U. Sure, you're free to believe his make-nice effort at cleaning things up after the fact, but you can't pretend to be unaware of his awkwardly timed, public hissy fit last winter. At best, you don't know whether he has an issue with the U. That's a fine place to settle here. But to suggest you know he doesn't -- that seems ridiculous.

@Ethnicsands

He got ****ed at one situation and *****ed like a female about it. Since then he has said he has no problems and has said glowing things about the school and Al. So yes his actions and words say he has no problems with UM. Or does that one incident mean for the rest of his coaching career he hates UM?

I guess you're naive and not trolling.

I've already pointed out to you, that his comments since then may easily be explained as public relations 'damage control' rather than the truth. And his comments last winter can easily be explained as his true feelings bubbling out rather than an expression of something he didn't mean or believe.

As for your question -- you're both confusing the cart and the horse and inventing a strawman. He can well have 'issues' with UM or the current staff that fall short of 'hate,' so let's dispense with the strawman semantics.

As for your illogic -- the incident doesn't mean for the rest of his coaching career he hates (or has issues with) UM. But it may be an indication that he does in fact have issues with UM or the staff. I.e., Whether he has issues with UM is not a function of the incident. But no amount of public niceties proves the issues don't exist. The entire city of Washington DC revolves around people saying in public things that they don't mean. And there's plenty of that in sports, too.

As for whether the issues will persist for the rest of his corching career -- who knows. That doesn't really seem relevant to the discussion, to be honest.

Or he could just be genuine and have no problems with the UM like he says.

Anything's possible. Cinderella really might have turned into a pumpkin at midnight.

Why you'd assume that to be so clear as to be beyond dispute is not obvious to me however.

His outburst seemed pretty genuine and revealing to me.

Keep in mind, Shannon was his friend, and he lost his job when Randy got axed, so it's not hard to imagine he started with a bit of a grudge against the new regime.

For one, don't get female shoulders and go on every talk show in the city and very publicly bad mouth coaches over something you KNOW they can't defend themselves over and refuse to either apologize or dish that **** out equally to other schools. He can say as many positive things as he wants to our little website (big ups D$, I love this place), but the damage was done and I haven't seen one single apology on his part, even after Thomas ended up hating the school he picked so much that he tried to transfer BEFORE REPORTING.

In short, he can act like a man and not a butthurt teenage girl who got pumped and dumped after prom.

How do you not get he was mad about one situation at the time because he cared about a kid? Now he is over it and holds nothing against UM. High school coaches do this **** all the time.

How do you not get that his comments may have reflected his true feelings. People often let impolite things out in anger that when keeping their cool they wouldn't have said -- but those things are at times true, anyhow.

Now he is over it and holds nothing against UM.
You keep repeating this, but the fact is, you have no idea if this is true or not. He may or may not be 'over' it.
