Poetic really... It will be almost exactly 5 years to-the-day that Clemson spanked us 58-0 in a noon game at home. Would be fitting to properly thank them for getting rid of Al Golden with a Miami victory and a handing of the ACC torch. Let's work.

MIA's CBs & D-Line match up much better against Clemson's O-Line & WRs than the dummies on this forum are making out to believe. Bolden against Amari Rogers is a much more favorable matchup than him against Tutu. Same goes for Ivey against Ladson, Ngata, or Ajou. I made a thread in the Summer highlighting how losing Justyn Ross was going to be a big loss for Clemson, and how his loss improved MIAs chances of winning the ACC. At the time I was mocked & ridiculed for it. We'll see who's laughing in 2 wks

I haven't done a deep dive into their offense, but their back 7 on defense is far from perfect. There are legit questions about their Safeties. Yes, I'm sure they'll be fantastically coached. But, we're not talking about guys who are future 1st rounders. So much more to be said, but no reason to be scared.

You know, I don't even want this for our team or for myself. I want this for my stepdad, who introduced me to 'Canes football in '97. He's had a bad couple of recent years, and I would love for this to happen if only for him.

You right bro, yes this is Miami but Clemson has been in the playoffs all but one year. They have a dynasty going and at this point they are the measure for every team in the ACC, even the country. Playing these guys tough is a step for me, but we can beat them and I'm sure all our players believe that as well. We have a QB. Baker needs to bring his best stuff. Diaz need to earn his money in this game as a Defensive minded HC. Lashlee gonna eat.

Clemson struggles with fast pace offenses or straight power. I said in another thread they were not getting to WF QB when he dropped back to throw.

They lost 4 starters on the OL and their top 2 receivers. Not saying we’re gonna win, but I really don’t think this will wind up being a completely dominating team compared to what they’ve had in the past.

However, Lawrence would be a top half starting QB in the NFL right now. Beating that guy with college kids won’t be easy. The only way anyone will do it will be dropping 35+ on their defense and pressuring the **** out of him when he throws.

People (here, the media, etc etc) have built Clemson up to be this juggernaut that is completely unbeatable and will dominate everybody they play simply by throwing their jocks out there at the 50. Yes they have had a good run, and yes Sunshine Lawrence is a stud QB...but we have the horses to go toe to toe with them. It won't be easy - it will take hard work and laser focus - but our players won't be intimidated one bit by facing off with Clemson. We as fans shouldn't be either.

Let's give em ****. I don't expect to win, but I expect to put some bruises on them and for them to know they were in a dog fight. We've got at least as much firepower as Syracuse, Pitt and UNC, and those teams either beat them of scared the bejeezus out of them.

Limited capacity and our firepower on O gives us a puncher's chance. @k9cane I'm good with being Mike Weaver and taking blows for 14 rounds and then knocking them out like he did Big John Tate in the 15th.

I know Manny hasn't done well coming off BYE weeks, but honestly, I love the timing of this one. You've had three games now under your belt, coming off a huge blowout of your rival, a few guys got busted up. Now you're looking ahead to Clemson.
