I likely did argue that the conspiracy was overblown, and I was wrong.

That said, there were countless threads that basically said none of the receivers were out with COVID and other legends like Cooney pulled a gun and then sent it to Illinois to also bench Hightower there, or some ****.

There also ones that showed the K Smith didn’t know all the routes and wasn’t ready.

Local favorites due to Cooney and it changed this year, which I’m not sure I ever argued it wouldn’t change.

There were also board heroes here arguing that the defense wouldn’t change at all in terms of the same players starting at the same positions as last year - which clearly isn’t true.

Another indictment on Manny that he has no clue what he's doing and is playing politics

Best players should play no matter how old or young they are. The fact that LT didn't play against App State or garbage time against Bama but now is going to play because he is threatening to leave is a joke.

Never said he was leaving , he was ****ed. But if it continued it was a possibility. If you need proof he was angry as **** ask anyone that saw him on the sideline both games. Coaches promise these kids things and then renege. Even though they were one of the better backups. There is kids here who have threatened to leave though and that threat worked.

Playing the “threatening to transfer card” is illogical. I can’t think of any beneficial way of using it.

For those not expecting to play in the NFL:
college is about getting an education and finding a good job. Threatening to transfer burns some serious bridges and hurts these prospects.

For those looking to play in the NFL:
1) If you lost playing time because you got beat out by your teammates, you’re likely not making an NFL roster unless you work hard at your craft and earn playing time again. Transferring doesn’t help you. Threatening to transfer helps you even less.
2) If you lost playing time because the coaches don’t recognize/value your talent and are being unfair, it makes no sense to threaten to transfer and then not follow through with it. Just leave and find someone who appreciates your skills and can help nurture/highlight them.

I get it. I’m not afraid to admit when I am incorrect. I’m trying to clarify some of the potential misinformation that complicates the reality.

Like Cribby said Taylor was really ****ed. Makes sense. Is likely 1000% accurate. That turned into, Taylor demanded playing time and is on his way to the portal.

Which was my point about the receivers last year:
- Favorites conspiracy was true (I downplayed it and was wrong)
- Also elements of truth: after being called out favorites mixed in a few good games, youngsters were out with covid, smith didn’t know all the routes and may not have been 100% ready (all in totality lead to playing time, and maybe favorites still trumped, and if cribby said it did then it did)

Then players likely said **** that and things changed, which Cribby reported. Not sure I ever argued they would keep getting playing time.

Problem here is rhetoric snowballs and saying the receivers had covid means you love Manny and hate Cribby, Butch and the ghost of the Orange Bowl - none of which are true, but that’s CIS battleground

That’s much different than sitting behind our guys, bro. That’s a “wait ur turn” situation at OSU. We don’t have that luxury.

OSU also has one of the best DL coaches in the country. Walking in you know you wait your turn.
