But if a kid like Sanders wants in, u gotta take him. But ur right, I would be more than satisfied w Crowley and McIntosh.
This, you never say no to the Sanders of the world if they want in.

Could do a lot worse.IMO, Brown should be satisfied with a RB class of McIntosh and Crowley
There are rumors about most every commit and most every school this time of year. He's hedging for two reasons
Mcintosh could end up a LB
Crowley has been rumored to be looking around.
6-1/205+ now will be a 225 or so guy with great feet and pass catching ability.McIntosh can play and while not a blazer he still has some speed on the field and is a big physical back that can make people miss. In addition to that he can do very well as a receiver out of the backfield
Actually Crowley has not been looking around and is our most solid commit right now
What are the chances that sanders would want in to begin with....you don’t slow play kids like Crowley or RJ for a RB currently fielding bag offers from SEC schools. But what if Sanders wants in?
McIntosh is a RB. The LB narratives are hilarious.
What's hilarious about it? He's been playing varsity snaps on defense since 8th grade.
Go back and watch the HUDLs for the defenders selected in the first round. Most of them were offensive playmakers in high school.
I think McIntosh can be an excellent college RB. But the 4.88 speed puts a ceiling on him. And we are signing a very similar RB in Marcus Crowley.
When you watch the second and last plays of this video, it's easy to visualize McIntosh's upside on defense.
I rather have a big but slow running back than a big but slow linebacker with how the game is played today. The running back can still bruise a defense and pick up yards although the might not break away but lacking speed at linebacker makes you a liability at covering tight ends and other backs. So I don’t get the whole “he’s not fast so put him at linebacker” narrative.
Mehhhhh, you think a Jon Beason wasn't every bit the athlete the RBs at Miami were? To insinuate a LB is not as good an athlete as a RB is a stretch. They may be a step slower but they are generally bigger and stronger than RBs, but no less the athleteHere's one way to look at it: compare McIntosh's athleticism to Shaq and Pickney. Now compare his athleticism to Homer and Dallas.

So did ST, he was a record setting RB, you think he "settled" for safety because of "athletic limitations"? I agree with some of your point, but not that the better "athletes" always play RB. None the less I will take Mc in any way we can get him, same as MAR. Get athletes here and then find them a place, aka : Devin HesterFunny you mention Beason. He is a guy who ran the ball successfully in high school and switched to defense in college. DJ Williams is another.
McIntosh is probably a better runner than those guys, but I can see a similar trajectory.
His bro played RB?i like him more as a LB. I still cant get pass that 40 time, and his brother's play at rb. I'll take him because i know he will produce either way..but hes a kid that would have big time upside as a 6'0 225pd backer in the mold of a Pickney.
