4-star RB McIntosh wins 7-on-7 title at the Opening Finals, talks UM

Lucky guy.

Gets to visit my bucket-list, all-time, cultural dream city - Norman, Oklahoma.

They got a puddle they call Lake Thunderbird - got a dog park, a historic house of some kind, and cow tipping is the State Pastime - done at night - just don't wear your good shoes.

Alls I know is that if we land Mac and Crowley I’ll be one happy sob. Combine those two bruisers with don Chaney in 2020 and we’re sitting pretty

Funny you mention Beason. He is a guy who ran the ball successfully in high school and switched to defense in college. DJ Williams is another.

McIntosh is probably a better runner than those guys, but I can see a similar trajectory.
Beason played some safety as well as running back at Chaminade. He switched defensive positions, but he was already on that side of the ball.

Beason always played both ways from the optomist days. He was out there killing folks on defense. Thats my boy. Mcintosh seems to have a similar frame..maybe not as swoll as Beason but the size requirements around the same age are close.

It's going to be fun to see him battle with Crowley for that role. From what I've seen, Crowley is more physical and McIntosh is more dynamic.

Both of them are smooth, big athletes.
Agree. I like Crowley as much as anyone. Favorite recruit in this class for me.

I've been to Norman, Oklahoma as a kid. Somehow, I don't quite know how to articulate it, but even the wind sucked. The wind. I remember that song, "Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain!" And I was like, "This is it? This that wind yall made a **** song about? This is WACK." But then again, I also slept through Hurricane Andrew so maybe I'm just not impressed by wind. Also, everything else in Norman sucked too.

McIntosh has played safety since he broke through as an 8th grader. Here is his sophomore HL (first play then starts again at 3:30):

Miami needs to sign Kenny and every other McIntosh that we can sign. A great athletic family and Kenny might be the best. He has so much natural talent and strength.

Recent interview on Rivals he states he's going to Oklahoma over UM for Paradise camp and is taking an OV to Penn state for their game against OSU. Also said he's pushing his decision back till signing day.

Really think the whole Sanguinetti thing plays a factor in his decision.

If we haven't, we really need to turn up the heat on John Emery Jr to get him down for Paradise camp. Also need to pick up contact with Nayquan Wright too.

Does Spaghetti have to go to OU or Ped State with him too? Or does he only factor in when it comes to UM?
