4 First Round Picks this Upcoming Draft?

Dawg, if Mario has FOUR first round picks to tout on the trail…

Back to Back drafts with players taken in the Top 5.

A QB, DE, and OT all top 10 picks.

Mario gonna have a lot of ammo for the trail.

Still will be at least 1 South Florida that needs to see “Miami win” though.

2 is more likely than 4 in the 1st round. Age and injury working against Mesidor. Age and positional value working against Scott. Think both are at least top 2 round guys though. Edge is decently deep though...

Scott will be 25 by the time the NFL season starts. Absolutely love him, but can’t see a team investing in an older nickel corner like that who doesn’t have any elite physical traits.

Mesidor would probably be a top 5 - 8 pick if he wasn’t about to turn 25 given his physical traits, tool belt, and premium position.
Agreed
Age may hurt draft stock

As a Fins fan seeing Bain mocked to the Jets
I saw a mock with arvell Reese at 2 ahead of Bain. Idk about that one

Not drafting Mesidor in the first round because your concerned about his age is why a lot of these franchises continue to be dog**** year after year

3 is likely in Bain Cici and Mesidor
Mesidor is a? Just bc his age and injury history for the league. If I was a GM on a contending team I take him R1 if I need a pass rusher don’t care about the possibility of a second contract. Need him to be worth the 1st contract lol

I thought that until the playoff run but he’s a lock now. He absolutely dominated and will walk right in a start for a team 6-7 years.
Curious on your thoughts here.

I'm a Canadian (lived in Ottawa for 7 years) and a coach up here so kept my eye on him.

For a second round DE pick, their has to be limitations here. He not particular strong against the run (7/10) and if he's a quick end, he's strength is pass rusher, which helped with movement along the line and never getting doubled and chipped due to Bain.

Mind you all other first round mocked Edge players (outside of Bain) did not impress more then Mesidor, so I'm a little turned around.

Are we seeing a weaker End class or are my expectations too high for a player?
I'd draft Mesidor above Parker, and Howell

Both Mesidor and Bain have the three step edge bend (clearly a coaching thing) that you don't see typicla NCAA ends do.

He plays super well when he's fresh to somewhat fresh, but as soon as its a 7-8 plays series, the guys is bad on the run cause he's gassed.

I follow the draft stuff pretty closely. There has been a hard shift of Mesidor and more and more mocks have him late first round. Mostly to contending teams that want max production during his rookie contract window. Several picks for the Pats
