4/21 Scrimmage Stats

Does anyone take our season into context? We won about 5 close games and none of those teams were good. We got a lot of lucky bounces. A LOT. That was mostly due to our QB inability to make simple throws and drive the ball down the field.

Okaaaay.... Keep thinking we're going to find the same type of luck (combine with getting all those turnovers) this year. Anyone with eyes could see were more then fortunate to win 10 games last year. When the luck ran out we lost by double digits.

Give me the QB who realistically has the ceiling and chance to improve so we aren't in this position next year. Sorry.

I don't get the context of this rant.
It's April, why would you think the QB (or any other) position is set in stone?

He's way ahead despite what Richt is saying. No way in **** he doesn't start Rosier against LSU. There's not a coach in the country that would throw a kid who's never taken a snap in a college game into that environment. Backup will get some burn, but that's it.

The only true competition is seeing which young cat gets a chance to unseat Malik as the year plays out.

Don't let chosen one get you all riled up, he's always got an agenda. Richt does have forever(aka as long as he wants), I see no evidence that he wants to RS Williams and we didn't have 5 lucky wins last year.

Based on everything Richt has said thus far he seems keen on starting Malik to start the season at least until we're losing to LSU, a team that's probably the 5th or 6th best team in the SEC.

Why would he not say Rosier (for now)?
If he names another QB he risks losing 1-2 QBs, including Rosier, during
the summer.
Why would he do this to himself, if not the program?
That would be plain stupid on his part.

Lets be honest.. we're Canes fans we expect titles, national titles. You honestly believe us Miami fans will settle for 6+ years of the Miami version of Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs in the ACC? THE ACC? VT and FSU being the only real competitors year in and year out? Stop it. Not to mention with Georgia having the success they're having it will make this fan base envious. We get restless pretty quickly. If we were to go 8-4 this year how fast do you think the tune of Canes fans about Richt will change? If whats going on with Whiteside is any indicator it will be fast.

If my agenda is not lowering my standards for this program to the level of Michigan State just because we've fallen on hard times then I'm fine with that. My eyes are always on the title PERIOD. I'm having this same problem with Heat fans. This love affair with a mediocre basketball team gets annoying.

We're trending the right way. Year 1 we win a bowl for the 1st time in forever, year 2 we win 10(don't tell me about luck) and the Coastal for the 1st time in forever. Year 3 I expect us to continue to improve. By year 4 i fully expect us to contend for a championship.

Everyone ***** on Golden and what he did or didn't do here but still expect Coach Richt to lead us to championships in year 1. You think Al left this program in Championship shape? Coach Richt has been here 2 ******* seasons and already accomplished more then what had been accomplished in like the last 10 years. **** takes time and we are well on our way.

You're always projecting negativity and mediocrity and I just don't see any evidence to support your doom and gloom stance.

if we go 8-4 fans will be unhappy. If they go 12-0 they will be happy....wow this is easy.

Lost in this discussion is that Michael Irvin Jr. somehow channeled his inner Jeremy Shockey for at least one scrimmage.
His issue isn't talent or ability, it's work ethic & mental focus.

He's going to get plenty of opportunity to prove himself, he just has to find some self motivation & get a fire lit under his ***.

Brevin Jordan is going to play a lot, Mallory maybe will if he shows he can physically handle the college level as a TE. But, Irvin II will play a lot this year whether people like it or not, if for no other reason than we simply don't have enough depth at that spot.

Man rousseau looks like our biggest get so far in storm 18 class. Think we underrated him when we talked about our best commits in that class.

Very interesting comments by Richt on the qbs. He has implied he is open to starting a rookie by considering simplifying the offense for him or even having the center help out making calls. Not sure why some people keep insisting Rosier starting is a foregone conclusion. If Richt says it is going down to the bitter end, that is what he means. Still wide open.
