Except in 2000.
Right lol, but had there been a playoff, we wouldn't have been shafted. Granted, there's always going to be 1 team "left out". If you expand to 16 teams, the 17th team is going to feel shafted. I'm just saying the way the BCS selected the rankings was imo the best they've had thus far, since it used computer models, as well as a committe, not just some biased committe, or coaches poll, or w/e.

It was also the first year and they saw the error in their model. But we still got screwed.

Bama and Georgia still play. If Bama beats Georgia they deserve to be in. If they lose they wont be in.

It will prob be Georgia, Ohio State, Cinci, Oklahoma. Oregon will lose or barely win against Utah or Wash State and Oklahoma will get the nod after they win the conf game.

If they are a remaining undefeated, then fine.

But Cincy wouldn't be favored against

Michigan
Oregon
OSU
OU
Okie St

****, they'd be pick'em against

Pitt
NC State
Miami
UNC
Wake

Committee is going to do everything they can to keep Alabama at #2. They want them in the playoff. Keeping them at #2 makes it “easier” to justify them still being in the playoff if UGA beats them. They really don’t want to drop them to #4 after the loss to UGA (if they lose) because that would be rematch in semis. They want to drop them to 3 and then the rematch couldn’t happen until finals potentially. It’s gotta be nice when those controlling things are so firmly pushing for your team.

It’s b/c the B1G acknowledged they screwed Michigan in their game against MSU. Also Michigan’s L was against a top 10 team, while MSU lost against an Unranked team. I know, I know.
Fair enough. I didn’t know about the officiating mistake. I was just baffled initially.

Two of those defeats coming to #2 and #7, so they essentially don't count. Those are the rules the SEC plays by - I want to play by them too.

I demand a recount.
But two of those defeats coming to #100 and #110

If Bama loses a close one to UGA and Cincy is undefeated, I have no doubt that the good ole boys will push Bama past Cincy.
Would be unprecedented either way. First 2 loss team getting in or first G5 team.

But for that to occur there would have to be no one loss teams left. Cincy isn’t getting in over a one loss P5 team no matter what.

If they force this 2 SEC teams in thing…. I hope they get forced to pair them together. Like I hope OU goes undefeated, Oregon wins out, and OSU wins out. I can’t see how they could put 2 loss Alabama in 3rd. Shouldn’t get 4th but at least 4th puts them with UGA immediately again.

If Miami wins out, they'll sneak into the top 25 and qualify for a NY6 Bowl, especially if they win their division or the ACCCG.

But they're definitely being penalized for shortchanging the football program.
