Either OSU or MSU is losing another game as they will face each other if things play out, so that moves Cincy up at least one spot. If GA beats Bama, Bama is out.
 
Well at least this type of BCS-esque ranking garbage will lead to the same result: more championship expansion.

The 8-12-16 team CFBPO format is coming one day, and probably sooner than the current contract allows for.

With losses to the #2 and #3 teams in the CFP. It's the UVA and UNC that kill us.

But bigger picture is that this all exposed the administration's lack of interest in athletics. Had we beaten those two, we would have had no chance of getting rid of James.

They ain't winning a NC with this Bennett kid at QB....I think Bama would beat them...Bama is a different animal than UF...Especially with one loss...As far as the future for UG....I think it'd be more difficult the next few yrs if they can't win it this yr.

I'm not convinced yet. This year's team doesn't look as good as they've been. Georgia looks like a complete team and has a ridiculous defense. Their only weakness is their QB, which yeah is huge, but that hasn't affected them demolishing anyone they've played. But JT Daniels could return at any time really...

I think the people who said "if Georgia doesn't win this year then they never will" are correct. It's being handed to them on a silver platter.

You got 3 loss teams ranked while UTSA which is undefeated ain't even sniffing top 25. ****'s crazy.

Bama lost to the #14 team and has wins over 16 and 17 and is #2. Cincy has a road win over a top 10 team and is undefeated and is ranked #6? I mean like sure 'eye test' or whatever but bruh based on schedule that bias is real. Let the records work themselves out.

It's about strength of schedule. It was explained during the show. The head of the CFP selection said so. Cincy's strength of schedule is around 100. It's behind Wake Forest at 98 and is ranked behind Cincy. The Comish said Cincy had a very nice win at ND, was rewarded for it, but hasn't played anyone else coupled with struggles against Navy.

They’re a nice story, but the schedule isn't there. They would have needed another top 15 team and win on the schedule.

You can argue that Bama shouldn't be #2. I would agree. However, it doesn't matter as they will need to win out to get into the CFP. If they were ranked 5 or 6 and won out, they'd move up into the top 4. A 2 loss Bama won't get into the CFP.

The SEC will get Georgia and Alabama into the CFP if Alabama wins out and Georgia's only loss is the SEC title game to Bama.

I would argue a conspiracy having Georgia and Alabama 1 and 2 is designed so that they don't play each other in the CFP semi final, but in the championship game. If Bama wins out and beats Georgia in the SEC championship game. The CFP committee will simply flip flop Bama and UGA 1 and 2.
