"Academics, first and foremost" If this is true it comes down to us and Duke with the schools he has listed.
If he's truly considering Duke that's a bad sign. Tells me he's looking to continue at that North Broward Prep level.

we brought in a lot of smaller shiftier guys last cycle, like that this kid, Pope and Wiggins are all well over 6ft tall too
Pope looks tiny to me. He's considered a big WR?

He's listed 6'0 160 by 247, definitely needs to add some weight
Which means he's probably 5'10 and 150. He's a hard take all day, but he's much more in the Jeff Thomas/Mike Harley mold than Andre Johnson.

The encouraging thing about Austin is his legit size/track speed combo. He is a top tier prospect on the physical side. And he is dominating this level so it's not like the production is lacking.

Thought Pope was more comparable to Coley when he came in

Probably, kinda forget he's still only a junior too

Offered him? lolol Why?

Pass on this kid..........NBP plays no one!

Their class is lower than 1A.

He is dominating his comp is what matters. There are a ton of top recruits every year who dont play good comp in high school.
Ray Lewis III dominated a bunch of Poindexters too in HS.

Ray Lewis 3 wasn't 6'3" with track speed, crazy body control, glue hands, and that Duke stiff arm (can't teach those things). This kid has 31 offers including Da U,OSU, Florida, Michigan and Michigan state, ND, Oregon, Wisky.. we gotta lock him down before the SEC bag men come knocking!!

Exactly. 6'3" and running 10.6's ... I'm not as concerned with the talent level.

Do you know if he's been on campus for any of the events since Richt was hired or if the staff has visited him in person for a game? If they've seen him perform in person, then I don't really worry about the competition.

Competition level?

As bad as you can get in South Florida.

Hmmmmm. Kinda figured that. Lots of slow white dudes in those highlights. Would like to see him transfer and face better comp

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. He's going to a top quality academic high school and he's going to get a major college scholarship. No reason for him to transfer. He'll get his competition in college

This kid is one of my favorite WR in this class, he just looks so fluid and smooth for a guy his size. My ideal recruiting class would include Austin, Pope, Wiggins, and Copeland

You think Miami is going to offer a kid that doesn't dominate his comp?

Make some sense. The kid won't play here.

He'll be another Jermaine McKenzie.
