2016 Draft eligbles.....

With 2015 draft in the books, who do we expect next year to come out from Miami?? Here who i think probably will get picked...

S Deon Bush - 1st or 2nd round

CB Tracy Howard - 4th round... good forty time will push him to 2nd-3rd

WR Herb Waters - 4th to 6th round

WR Stacy Coley- 2nd or 3rd... with a huge year, but think he stays

Others of note.... Artie Burns, Gus Edwards and Rashawn Scott

Artie is thought of very highly w/NFL teams. Right now teams put him in the 2nd round w/a chance to make a leap into top half of the 1st.

Yea im actually curious of that myself, hes been off and on, and his ball skills are horrible

Draft Eligible players with NFL potential by position and rank:

RB:
Gus Edwards (JR) (6'2", 230): 4.58-second average 40-yard dash (4.49 best 40 time in three tries), 4.33 20-yard shuttle, 15 reps of 225, 415 squat, 362 power clean, 315 bench press, 32.5 vertical
Walter Tucker (JR) (6'0", 226): Didn't run, 18 reps of 225, 385 squat, 286 power clean, 330 bench press, 27.5 vertical

Gus has the physical tools to be drafted high but unless he has a breakout year, no one will be in the draft next year at RB.

WR:
Herb Waters (6'2", 195): 4.39 40 (4.33 best), 4.14 20, 11 reps of 225, 365 squat, 276 power clean, 310 bench press, 35.5 vertical
Stacy Coley (JR) (6'1", 187): 4.48 40 (4.40 best), 4.47 20, 1 rep of 225, 285 squat, 196 power clean, 215 bench press
Malcolm Lewis (rJR) (6'0", 189): 4.43 40 (4.41 best), 4.56 20, 12 reps of 225, 415 squat, 264 power clean, 295 bench press, 28.5 vertical
Rashawn Scott (6'2", 205): 4.69 40 (4.64 best), 4.35 20, 17 reps of 225, 385 squat, 286 power clean, 330 bench press, 32.5 vertical

Waters needs a breakout year but has the size and speed that the NFL looks for. Scott is too slow, Lewis needs to show he is fully recovered, and Coley needs to get stronger.

TE:
Stan Dobard (JR) (6'4", 262): 4.97 40 (4.88 best), 4.67 20, 15 reps of 225, 430 squat, 286 power clean, 350 bench press

Stan should have a breakout year but lacks the speed to be a top TE in the NFL.

OL:
Danny Isidora (JR) (6'4", 322): 5.14 40 (5.13 best), 4.96 20, 31 reps of 225, 430 squat, 352 power clean, 435 bench press, 27.5 vertical
Taylor Gadbois (rJR) (6'8", 321): 5.22 40 (5.19 best), 4.76 20, 455 squat, 318 power clean, 405 bench press, 31 vertical
Sunny Odogwu (rSO) (6'8", 322): 5.69 40 (5.65 best), 30 reps of 225, 405 squat, 264 power clean, 385 bench press

Isidora can be a top 3 round guy if he continues to develop. Gadbois has the physical tools but needs to put it all together and stay healthy.

DT:
Calvin Heurtelou (6'3", 315): 5.66 40 (5.57 best), 5.17 20, 33 reps of 225, 264 squat, 26.5 vertical
Michael Wyche (6'4", 325): Did not test in running, did 35 reps of 225, 275 squat, 435 bench press, 22 vertical

Wyche is still a ? to me, if he lives up to the hype after getting in shape, he could get drafted. Heurtelou is solid but most likely a FA.

DE:
Al-Quadin Muhammad (rSO) (6'3", 260): 4.78 40 (4.70 best), 4.34 20, 17 reps of 225, 505 squat, 286 power clean, 355 bench press, 30 vertical
Ufomba Kamalu (6'6", 295): 4.91 40 (4.89 best), 4.45 20, 24 reps of 225, 545 squat, 342 power clean, 375 bench press, 27 vertical

Kamalu has all the physically tools needed to be a NFL DE. If he can develop and have a big year I can see him getting drafted between rounds 3-5. If AQM has a big year he will be eligible for the draft. He has the physical tools now he just needs to produce after sitting out a year.

LBs:
Raphael Kirby (6'1", 235): 4.64 40 (4.59 best), 4.46 20, 31 reps of 225, 500 squat, 342 power clean, 410 bench press, 33 vertical
Tyriq McCord (6'3", 236): 4.66 40 (4.63 best), 4.42 20, 17 reps of 225, 485 squat, 318 power clean, 355 bench press, 34 vertical
Jermaine Grace (JR) (6'1", 208): 4.49 40 (4.43 best), 4.16 20, 17 reps of 225, 455 squat, 276 power clean, 310 bench press, 32 vertical

Kirby should have a breakout season and may get drafted in the first 3 rounds. McCord is another athletic player that needs to find a true position. He has enough upside to be drafted. Grace needs another year in college to put on some more weight but is very talented and has elite speed for a LB.

DBs:
Deon Bush (6'1", 205): Didn't test in running events, did 17 reps of 225, 495 squat, 264 power clean, 355 bench press, 37.5 vertical
Artie Burns (JR) (6'0", 193): 4.56-second average 40-yard dash (4.47 best 40 time in three tries), 4.26 20-yard shuttle, 6 reps of 225, 385 squat, 252 power clean, 270 bench press, 32.5 vertical
Corn Elder (JR) (5'10", 183): 4.46 40 (4.37 20), 4.45 20, did not do reps of 225, 350 squat, 220 power clean, 250 bench press, 33 vertical
Tracy Howard (5'11", 191): 4.57 40 (4.52 best), 4.26 20, 12 reps of 225, 365 squat, 242 power clean, 300 bench press, 29 vertical

Bush had 1st round talent but needs to stay healthy and perform at that level. Burns can enter the draft if he has a breakout year. He has the ideal size and speed for a CB at the next level. Elder has the speed and quickness for a CB but may stay another year to develop his game. Howard will be a solid player but does not possess the size or speed to be a top pick.

Some dudes are having delusions of grandeur. When it comes to Artie Burns. He has shown nothing that even warrants talk of being drafted at this point.

Deon Bush is the only player in that backfield that i can see being drafted, and then i don't think he is a 1st or 2nd round type of guy.

I just don't understand some people. We have had the luxury of seeing some of the best to ever play this game. Yet we see people inflating dudes that couldn't even hold some of our past 2nd string players jock straps.

Grace is a 1st to 2nd round Linebacker IMO.

Who wanna bet? :muscat:

Unless he starts putting his hand on the ground, he ain't a first rounder.

Why not?

LB's don't go in the 1st round anymore?

They do but they are either hands on the ground types and are excellent pass rushers and there are the other types - 240+ types that can run and are tackling machines. Look at the LBs drafted in the first round over 5+ years.

2010: Weatherspoon, McLain
2011: VMiller, ASmith
2012: Kuechly, Ingram, Hightower, Perry
2013: JJones, Ogletree
2014: Mack, Barr, Shazier, Mosely, Smith
2015: Beasely, Dupree, Thompson, Anthony

Look at all those names. Of those 19 guys, 10 of them were pass rushers coming out of college. 2 of the guys were big dudes (Hightower, McLain). Of the other undersized guys (<240), 5 of them - Kuechly, Shazier, Weatherspoon, Mosely, Ogletree - were absolute tackling machines in college and they were generally over 6-2. The other outliers were Stephone Anthony and Shaq Thompson.

Anyway, I think we're splitting hairs because I think he has a good chance at being a second rounder.

Bush, Kirby, Kamalu, Wyche, Howard, McCord, Heurtelou are all good enough to get drafted.

Two teams that I use to work for and still have ties too. Both are based in the same city.

See, this is the problem with people speaking who have no knowledge. Scouts who actually break down the film will tell you his film from late September through the end of the year was as good as almost anyone in the nation. Absolutely locked down his man. Do people wish he had more INTs, yes. But his coverage was terrific and obviously he has ideal measurables.

i see, well he has really good tangibles with his height and speed, hes good in coverage but once the ball gets to him he panics, this is the year where he has to step up IMO

Doubt Artie goes from a mid-4.5 guy to a 4.3 guy. You either have 4.3 speed or you don't. I don't think I've ever seen someone go from 4.5 to 4.3 in college. Regardless, I think if he had potential to be a 4.3 guy he would've done it by now.

EDIT: Doesn't mean he can't play ball though. I just thought he was a "speed guy".

A lot of people didn't realize Antonio Crawford WAS our fastest DB. Thanks, Al

Actually Elder is our fastest DB by a hair.
Antonio Crawford: 4.47 40 (4.38 best), 4.27 20, 11 reps of 225, 325 squat, 242 power clean, 300 bench press, 30.5 vertical
Corn Elder: 4.46 40 (4.37 20), 4.45 20, did not do reps of 225, 350 squat, 220 power clean, 250 bench press, 33 vertical
