10th coaching assistant

Question for you......Could it be money related? Maybe he is using the money to give the current coaches a bump and maybe we will get a lower level coach to come on for less money. Don't shoot me with your keyboard I'm just throwing it out there. We don't exactly have an unlimited budget like other programs.

has nothing to do with me money. Doesn't matter who it is. The problem is that we don't have the coach in place at the moment.

Barrow would be fantastic. Elite recruiter, could take a big load off of Diaz, and could help with special teams too. Plus, he’s been coaching with one of the best in the game for the last 4 or 5 years so he could bring a lot of insight.

His title with the Seahawks was Assistant Head Coach. So He was literally one of Carrolls top 2 assistants (there was one other assistant head coach on offense).

I think if we get him, it would probably mean that he turned down some better offers to come home. Because he definitely will have people calling him for NFL opportunities.

He and the d coordinator on the seagulls(49er fan here) got fired today. Canesinsight twitter retweeted this so hopefully there is smoke
 
plus hes basically a pastor. If Richt was to offer..Barrow likely would be back.

Im a fan of getting an offensive guy..but im sure richts ego wont allow for it, so we need some help on defense.

Dont think we go ST as Hartley only coaches TE..so he needs to do double duty

Problem is still Jon Richt. We need an experienced x and o's dude to be the QB/Assistant OC. Let Richt coach QB's in game. Then you can use the 10th assistant to help out defense. Since firing Jon isn't going to happen, I still think we need help on the offensive side, so you're going to have 3 dudes, Richt, Jon Richt, and new assistant all doing the job a guy like Jimbo can do himself.
