They let Walters and McLean go and gave him all that cash. All after he announced he was going back to school. Wow.

Yes Carter Young is going to LSU. They’ve signed 16 out of the 21 draftees. Really only expecting them to sign McLean and make a push for Walters. I wanna say that they have just over $2 mil to spend, before they start getting hit with the luxury tax.

And nothing better than small town environment where the locals come get drunk. That’s the one down side to playing in a major city. It’ll never change.

Agreed. I would throw a bunch of summer leagues in there as well. Much more fun than MLB games. Cape games are awesome. I played in the CPL and we always had a bunch of fans.

I wish there was an alternative league but there never will be. KBO seems like the best way, but truth is, it would have to be in our time zone for tv deals. That leaves the independent league as the only option. There’s just not enough ROI for somebody with enough money to buy it. It’s really...

B+ to A- Mule was a huge blow, considering the chatter lately. But if you would’ve asked me a month ago, I would taken what happened today 100% of the time.

With Walters and Burke most likely coming back, not hosting a regional and making a Super and IMO barring injury/some disaster, not making it to Omaha is a fireable offense.

Exactly right and getting into the system as soon as you can as a catcher, matters. Especially for guys like Romero who aren’t Gonna hit .280 with 35 homers.

This has always been my thought, but with NIL you never know. I’m guessing the NIL offer would come after the draft. Both sides, player and company, would want to see what they need to match/ what’s worth it to come back. But when it comes to Burke I’ve been saying he’s a unique case bc he’s...

Gotta imagine if Romero gets taken in the next couple rounds he goes, unless he really gets low balled. Can’t say the same for Burke. If he repeats what he did this year, he’s almost guaranteed to have a 4th round floor next year.

Just in the last 3 years we’ve had rosters littered with guys that 98% of the country would’ve loved to have. Only to waste them. There’s only one consistent variable at play here.

Was hoping Mule would make it to the 5th. Hard to believe they draft him at 114 without an agreed upon ballpark number.

Great now he’s gonna give up 2 homers a game instead of just one.

He had the same knock on him that Green had. They wanted to see him stay consistent through this year and he couldn’t do it. But somebody fell in love with Green. Haven’t seen anybody do the same with Mule. Not yet at least. FWIW I believe if Soto had signed the deal the Nats offered him, I...
