I want to sign Vaughn too. We can get Jacobs, Vaughn and Horton for the price of Coleman. And mostly likely 1 or 2 others as well.
Why? lol

Moore is legit
Mali is here
Upshaw was showing flashes pre-injury
Jojo
And we signed some talented kids

It’s been said this is gonna be a small portal class with a premium on quality additions not adding just depth prices like a tony Jefferson

Let’s be honest here too we don’t rotate WRs a lot the big 3 is gonna play at least 75% or more of the snaps

“Win, and they will come.”

Did I do that right?

I didn’t really like the gameplan of us not going for a clearly higher level more proven guy, but if we weren’t looking to make a big $ addition, I like this one. Definitely can filll the Marion role and has good stats when targeted intermediate and deep

i think miami has its QB. hopefully it's Levitt. usually receivers won't commit unless they know the QB...unless they just trust the coaches will make a good decision on choosing one. i think Levitt. just a guess

So U are saying that we only need 1 transfer WR (Jacobs)? Because my post only lobbied for 1 more which I identified as Vaughn. The rest of my post was a comparison of the talent we could afford for the price of 1 Cam Coleman. I was just saying I’d prefer to get multiple good WRs than just one Cam Coleman.

So Jacobs replaces both Marion and Daniels?

And the 3 out 4 raw freshman replace multi-year upperclassmen and SC developed: Ny Carr, Ray Joseph, Tony Johnson, and Chance Robinson?

As the CIS’s resident South Carolina reporter.. this kid is the goods. Beamer’s staff was livid to lose him.

This is the perfect replacement for Marion, he is actually a move fluid athlete than Marion. Think of a Marion with more upside and athleticism.

Whats your take on the o line?

We need depth brother. Our style of ball and practice methods, injuries pile up.

Toney, Marion, Daniels, JoJo, Moore, Johnson, Upshaw all played major minutes and started at least 1 game this season (double check me on Moore but Upshaw started NCST I believe). We are losing 3 of those guys. Absolutely nothing wrong with bringing in 1-2 guys to replace those 3 instead of forcing those FR in there. They are freshmen at the end of the day, everyone isn’t Toney. You need 8+ on the roster at all times and 6 of them need to be trusted to be able to play for you. Competition is what this program needs to continue to build and expect to create. Nobody outside of Toney has a spot and should be given anything.

High upside but wasn’t developing. Fired o-line coach halfway thru szn. It got slightly better towards end of season but underwhelming considering expectations.
