Thank you, Lance.

I’ve expressed my frustration with the TEs in countless posts already, but I’d basically rather play with 9 players on the field than have Lofton and Bauman out there.

No more 12 personnel unless Gilbert and Schott make a jump. I’m begging.

Lance, great writeup as usual, thanks for putting in the work. I'm no offensive expert, but I can see LBs screaming downhill against us for the last several weeks, wouldn't old fashioned play action from under center make them pay for that?

You see what the Chiefs did with Rashee Rice? I realize college is a different game, but it’s entertaining to watch continuous wrinkles.

Thank you for posting this. Like do the coaches not watch other teams/games during the season? Copy and paste. Even if you're not the creative type, just copy effective plays from others.

One variation! Nice

Can we have 10 from the same formation and motion? Run to the A, counter to B, toss, jet sweep, Sweep pass to the outside receiver who normally blocks, and endless passes out of play action with the sweeper with in the flat or running a wheel.
I gave up a touchdown just reading this.

Thanks as always Lance!

I usually don’t let games get to me too much these days but I was one miserable grumpy mfer in the first half of this one

The last quarter vs FSU
Then a bye
Then Louisville
Then the first half of Stanford

That was a rough stretch of Miami football
NGL, I started pacing and ranting...and was this close to my annual "I can't do this **** to myself anymore"!

Great stuff as always Lance

"You can block in the back behind the LOS like that." - Technically no, only inside tackle box, but great write up as always

With what I am seeing from the TE position, or rather not, I would add another WR and spread the field. If they aren't blocking well, and aren't a receiving threat, they're just a magnet for an extra defender in the box... which we don't need.

Our TE recruiter should win the award every year

Getting these blue chip athletes to commit here to be glorified OL is incredible

You're right, of course, but it was close enough to tackle box, right? Right?!?!

Canes got away with a few of their own things in this game to offset some of the weekly holds not called on Bain.

agreed. move off and bring on more of Toney Johnson or Josh Moore. tbh, it seems like bullying works considering they magically appeared in the game again after weeks of criticisms against the OC for not using the WR talent on the roster.

keep it up. bully his goofy *** until we open up the offense

Don't forget all the attractive benefits of being a WR motioned inside as an I/L blocker!

These guys would be awesome realtors.

Hand Up

Gotta call out some hand up accountability, as I was pretty riled up in this one at halftime. Some real negativity was felt in a game in which Miami ended up winning 42-7 and completely dominated the second half. Sometimes you overreact and I was guilty of it. I told Danny I’m just going to put my phone away during the games to avoid the overreacting typing.
The negativity was correct

It's very difficult to convince football coaches that more than one thing can be true. You can use space and be powerful. You can start a game with space and pace, and then condense and slow down later. It's all of these guys, but ours are particularly stubborn.

I wonder if the press conference was a bit of gamesmanship. It was so aggressive, it could be bait. I’m a little hopeful in that though, but an interesting angle.

by the way, the reporter asked Mario the same question he asked Dawson (Mario first of course) and Mario got ****ed and asked him to restate/rephrase it so that he understood the question clearly and so that he could answer it. that part of the exchange was an expression of his dislike of the question.

we need more of that. and why didn't the reporters ask why the team came out flat again (two weeks in a row)?
