Update on RB recruiting

Why is Oklahoma beating us for a player in our backyard?? Especially one who's brother played here (But made the bone-headed decision to leave early)

Could be that our Running back room is very crowded with talent

Hes scared to compete is what i have been hearing. That and the way that Miami has treated Sanguinetti.

I knew Sanguinetti was part of the Macintosh story. Foolish on Kenny
It is what it is.... You never hear these south florida kids complain when Bama, Georgia, or any other SEC bag school tries to recruit them late in the game. I like Nayquan but he needs to understand that we needed to see how he bounced back from injury. If he cant understand it on to the next one

And it's been one game. Let's see what this week brings.

Could go to OU and most likely play right away. If he comes here, he will have to compete with Homer (If he returns), Deejay, Lingard, Cam, and Crowley. That's a lot of comp. I'm also not saying that he's afraid of competition but it could be a factor with the stable of backs that we have. I think Nayquan and Mac are studs. Injuries with Nayquan scare me though and that might be reason why the staff cooled on him.

Lol, smh

Should’ve stayed on Wright from jump street. We haven’t learned our ******* lesson yet.

A few things.

One, McIntosh needs to untie he and Sanguinetti's cranks, all he's going to do is get his boy done real dirty by a school who drags him along for his pal's sake and then drops him with fewer options and he would have had otherwise.

Two, you can't entirely cut off all communication with a recruit like Wright from a pipeline school. At this point, I would send your three or four best recruiters and most convincing storytellers after the kid and try to patch things up, because it looks like you're going to need him.

Lastly, we're going to have some crowing every single year from recruits. At UM, it's damned if you do damned if you don't. If we are in communication with a kid, but don't give him a committable offer, then we get in trouble for slow-playing him. On the other hand, if we let things play out before initiating contact, we're told we were too late. I think the key is to be smarter about who falls into what category and don't play games at pipeline schools with recruits you may very well need. Even if he's not as high on the board as he wants to be, he should feel as though he is. That's the game the elite recruiters are playing and winning with.

Agree with this...

To be honest, we have more than enough time to make it up with Quan... our only competition is UF and he plays at CC, which is a top 5 pipeline school for us.

We didn't need a second back in this class. Mac is a luxury addition. Nayquan is also a luxury addition if he can stay healthy. Staff saw how he recovered from his injury last year and now wants to pursue again

Give me Chaney + Bowman or Marks next year ... and we're gucci

A Miami kid who is angry at Miami for ignoring him? Shocker....

I’m not a psychic but I seriously doubt this ends well for us.

I’m looking forward to landing D Bowman (Lakeland) and C Holmes (Cocoa) as our RBs in 2020. They both tore it up at Paradise Camp and have high interest in the Canes.

Less concerned with a second back in the 2019 class.

Chaney is more likely than Bowman

Miami should have at least kept in contact with him in case a situation like this one occurs. Should have kept in contact with Carter too from Aquinas. I feel Miami would have locked up either one if communication was consistent.

Smells like a similar situation with qb recruiting putting our eggs in one basket with 2 rbs and ignoring everyone else where in fact you have to stay in contact with other targets in case **** backfires.

Staff better start showing Nayquan every bit of attention possible ASAP

No excuse that it took them this long to finally realize he’s still the same caliber of player

Baffled by their recruiting efforts sometimes

Seems like we have pretty good recruiters but the strategy is off.. is that a Matt Doherty thing?

Big fan of getting Wright after seeing Florida be overconfident about him the past couple of weeks

YAAAWWWNN at Nyquan being upset... pull your skirt down and figure out how to get the coaching staff's attention.

McIntosh wants to be the man out the gate hopefully that works out for him in Oklahoma but i don't care about any player that's not in a Miami uniform at the end of the day.
