Update on RB recruiting

It's amazing how frequently we **** up situations that, at least from the outside looking in, seem avoidable with even a basic sense of strategy & a tiny smidgeon of effort.

Yea man. Our staff are some non stop **** ups. This happens so frequently, I don't know how we get a single impact player to sign here.

Sarcasm off. (Gotta specify for the slower members of CIS who probably would have taken me serious)

And I can't count the times I've seen "I'm never going to worry about RB while Richt and Brown are here"

Well we're about to have a long *** thread of mods and posters whining about how we are recruiting RBs so that didn't last long.

Don't matter if we sign a class full of studs, like last year, people will complain about whoever gets away. Even though the player they are whining about in this thread hasn't even gotten away...

This whole situation is frustrating we should have turned up the pressure on Nayquan months ago but now we risk losing both. Smh

I’m all for Nyquan; however....it’s been 3 yrs now and something is still off w our recruiting. I’m grateful for the players that’s signed on that dotted line, but the storyline of lack of communication, putting eggs in one basket, stop recruiting a player b/c we felt they were leaning elsewhere...all that has me baffled and concerned.

One comment I made when we first hired Richt was he’s going to have to get used to recruiting in his back yard v. being a poacher (not the phrase I used, but similar) b/c recruiting here is a different animal.

I think he’s used to having a loyal back yard in GA, where even top recruits feel honored to just receive an free from UGA and hop on it, and also being the cool outside guy from a $E¢ program coming here and getting players. Now, he’s not the poacher; he’s the gate keeper. There’s a different way you go about locking up the State of Miami, and now, the state of Fla.

I’m not sure Richt or his entire staff have adjusted to this role, quite yet (except Dugans and Hartley). I think they will, but for now, I’m a bit baffled by some decisions.

Nayquan is more than a placeholder
Exactly kid put up stupid numbers against American Heritage. I messaged a friend of mine who knows Wright and said I hear Miami is on him now. I got 6 crying laughing emojis in return. Yeah that is where we are now.

This staff needs to learn how to recruit two guys at the same time man . We can’t keep ignoring dudes thinking we have someone in the bag just to have to come running back to the dude we ignored in the first place.

Now for someone like Wright, he might want to be here and go somewhere else just out of spite . This staff gotta figure out a different way of putting dudes on hold besides jus flat out ignoring them
Say it louder for the folks in the back.
Couldn’t agree more

Slightly Disagree, richt imo has his side of the ball in order but this commonly seems to happen on the defensive side of the ball with those coaches more than anything imo. Regardless not really worried about rb recruiting under richt. If he comes he comes and if he don’t he don’t. Either way we stacked at the position

Nayquan may not start at Miami immediately given the depth we have. But he's someone that would be a significant factor come his Sophmore year.

On top of that, I don't want this kid at UF.....at all.

It is what it is.... You never hear these south florida kids complain when Bama, Georgia, or any other SEC bag school tries to recruit them late in the game. I like Nayquan but he needs to understand that we needed to see how he bounced back from injury. If he cant understand it on to the next one

The staff still playing checkers while everyone else playing chess

My feeling is that second running back is more of a luxury than a need. It's not like the cubard is bare. Next year there are some very talented rbs that UM could sign so I am not sweating a second one in this yaer's class.

Aren't they recruiting Crowley (committed) and McIntosh at the same time? McIntosh may not end up at Miami, but if you read the other article, he couldn't get his parents to fly to Norman.

Worrying what Thomas Brown is doing with this unit is the least of our concerns. This guy knows exactly what he is looking for. Best running backs coach since Solly. Glad he is very loyal to Mark because those a-holes from the SEC will come knocking soon enough.
RB ain’t the only position this is going on at

No RB recruit is coming here and starting immediately . Even Sanders would sit

Facts!!! I wouldn’t blame Wright for telling us to kick rocks and get the **** out of here either
