Ive been on record saying that I can see where the concerns come from. Tracy Howard had two really subpar camp performances in 7 on 7 settings. At the Nike Sparq camp in Oregon he kinda got tooled by a lot of guys. That was an insane camp talentwise, tho.

I fully expect Tracy Howard to be a significant contributor on defense, but Im not sure I see an elite corner.

Sparq, camp, and 7 on 7 are three completely different things and I think you just rolled them into one.

From what I have seen of Tracy, he is very good in 7 on 7 and camp...he struggled at Sparq. I could care less about Sparq for a CB.

Based on what I've seen, his feel for the game might have him being the best player on the roster at this from day 1.

Don't know whether to be happy about that or incredibly sad.

I am just happy to see a DB group come in that has different strengths. Not to discredit the other guys but looking at Bush, Howard, and Crawford I see a lot to like in different ways. Add that up and I see......balance?

I cant see where howard doesnt start next season. Mcgee isnt great and all other options are young. If it wasnt for mcgee being a senior i could see howard and finnie being the starters.

Top 4 to me for next year are.

Mcgee, howard, finnie, gunter

I was starting to think he was DVD part 2 the way folks around here spoke of him being soft and just being an 'athlete'.... DVD never in his life got as physical as Deon got in that vid, and he ran step-for-step with some ballers. I got a lot more excited about his potential at corner after re-watching that.

Dude..spot on! I watched the South Florida Express tape and thought that Deon pressed and covered better then Tracy. I think we have a sick class on our hands. Just need a little old fashion player development and this class will be stellar.

Think we can put Deon and Tracy on the outside and Crawford can man the slot. Love the class of CB's we brought in this year. Hopefully next years S class can be as impressive.

Don't understand why people with this attitude even come to the recruiting board. By nature almost everything said in here is going to be speculative. There's a football board to discuss kids who have already done things in college. Not trying to be rude, I just don't get the mentality.

This is a discussion board, part of it is too project what a kid will do in his college career. We wouldn't need a forum if we couldn't talk about that kind of stuff.
