**Golden was asked if he could get a sense of how well this team could tackle.

“I think it’s a team that’s bending really well. They’re trying to do the little things when we’re not in pads, which you can really develop bad habits. They’ve made a commitment to that and when they’re consistent with that you can give them more trust and not bang them as much. We’re tackling a lot in compartmentalized situations so we are safe, but the tackling is not where it needs to be right now,” he said.

Dude vomits BS with alacrity.

5 years and still can't tackle

its a process- actually, he hasn't said that yet, which is kind of refreshing. That only took him 4 years.

This team has the talent to win 10 games period

In Optimist or Pop Warner?

future NFL players currently on the team

Artie Burns, Deon Bush, Joe Yearby, Stacy Coley, Tracy Howard, Jaquan Johnson, Mark Walton, Dobard, Grace, Carter, Waters, Gus Edwards, Berrios, AQM, Chad Thomas,
Malcolm Lewis, Wyche, Scott, Kaaya, Tyriq McCord, Chris Herndon, Corn Elder, Demetrius Jackson, Trent Harris, Kamalu, McDermott, Raphael Kirby, Darrion Owens, Danny Isidora, Sunny Odogwu, Nick Linder, Trevor Darling, Heurtelou, Moten.

I only included Walton and Jaquan Johnson from the true freshmen.

I'm not saying all these guys will get drafted, but I will say over half of them will get drafted, the rest will be UFA's.

That's a talented group of guys

I know it's early, but this is shaping up nicely.

One thing is for certain. These guys have really committed in the off season. From everything I've read and heard in interviews the whole team is in great condition, there is tremendous leadership, excellent chemistry, and talent at every position throughout the 2 deep.

You have long time observers Zagacki and Bailey Jr., saying this team is extremely talented, conditioned, and driven.
We have a franchise qb.
We have Chad Thomas saying this is going to be the best defense in the country.
We have 6 good, with the potential to be great receivers.
A stable of good/great rb's.
10 O lineman.
2 deep on the d line and linebacker.
Howard, Burns, Elder at CB with Bush, Jenkins, Crawford, Carter at safety.

The haters are going to hate no matter what happens, but at the end of the year, don't be surprised if this team shocks everyone with how good they are.

yeah, lets fuggin hope so......

The horrible thing about the vocal minority of haters is that say we go 10-2, win the coastal, then win the ACCCG, then lose The Orange Bowl in a close game and finish 11-3, the haters will still say we suck.

If we go undefeated, and lose the national championship game, the haters will still say the coaches are terrible, they can't develop talent, they suck ****.

I've been a die hard since Saban was the coach here, and the reason the great seasons are great is because I still remember how getting to The Peach Bowl was an incredible success. The great seasons are great because of the hardship, heartbreak and turmoil in the years before.

Remember Jimmy's first year here? Inherited a National Championship team and went something like 8-5. If the internet was around then, the vocal minority would have been lambasting him as a hick piece of shiit loser, especially after the Penn State Fiesta Bowl.

Mark my word, good times are on the near horizon.

We should just shut this board down until the season starts. The pro-golden crowd have zero facts to back up any of their assertions, just hopes and wishes and dreams. The anti-golden crowd want to burn down everything and disregard anything remotely positive that's been accomplished in the past couple of years. Monday through friday we fight and attack and savage each other then have to watch our team get murdered on saturday. Can't we just be civil with each other until the season starts. Everyone's mind is made up, Golden is still the coach and at this point only the results on the field will prove who is wrong or right.

Waiting for Goldens Peach Bowl moment is like Waiting for Godot, only not nearly as funny or as entertaining, but just as absurd.

Man, talk about myopia; just because you have talent on the team doesn't mean it is evenly divided around the whole team. SEALs may be great direction action operators, but without the intelligence to act on and the ability to get them to the target without getting them killed enroute is critical; they are just training otherwise.

Same here. Do you really think there is a great amount of PROVEN All-ACC talent on either side of the ball in the trenches? Kaaya can't hit his receivers if he is on his back play after play...Chad Thomas and AQM have yet to get to thet level on the D side either. Is there POTENTIAL? Yes, but take off your first practices rose colored glasses and recognize it is not a balanced team talent wise and may be lucky to finish 4-8, especially if Kaaya gets hurt early because the OL is a weak unit TALENT wise.

Hearing that Linder and Isidora are "dominating" is a good thing. I think Gall has the ability to be solid at LG. Then, whoever wins the LT job will be at least solid, and the one who loses out on the LT job will be our RT.

Having BCU and FAU at the top of our schedule helps out for the OL, we will get to gel together and keep battling it out in those 2 should be easy games.

As always great job Pete. Thanks. This defense will surprise on how much we have vastly improved.

LMAO, love the seal reference but no, never said we were winning just saying theres 10 win talent on the team, if you cant see it then your glasses must have some dark a$$ tints

i feel like this camp, they have been talking more about guys getting lean than adding weight.
