Good job Pete, but bull**** is bull****. You never said Gray would be a long shot, you said he would never qualify and actually were kind of a **** about it.

The part about Walton is what gets me. That's one kid that I don't want to lose no matter what.

Jaquan seems like one of those recruits that we can fully convince by beating FSU. I remember we were looking good for Nick O Leary until FSU pulled our panties down and bent us over at home. it was ball game after that.

I wonder if people are happier that Gray may get in or that Pete may have been wrong?

You wonder?

Since when is it a question whether or not egos are more important than the success of the team?

Me personally I just don't want to see Pete to the way of so many other insiders. Making claims, acting like a **** if they get questioned, and then not having the decency to say "hey my bad".

But this should be all about Gray. If you've followed him you can see what this would mean to him and his family. Life changing. I'm pulling for him and his family hardcore, and not just because he's a beast of a football player

Think Walton sticks if he ends up in 2016.

Williams we keep if we have a good season. As an athlete(RB/WR).

We need to win to convince Jaquan, I think Tim is coming. Tim is always visiting. I know staff is confident on Jaquan, but we have to win. He is a MUST get.

Think we drop one or two of current OL commits if Milo, Merrick and Loftus commit soon.

Cronk sticks regardless. Kid is cane to the bone.

Good news on Gray and Langham.

Ahmmon, they will figure out when he gets here and how develops at WR and Safety the next two seasons in high school. Could be a star at either position.

I know a lot of people understand how good Gray is but for some that don't. HUGE GET if he makes it in. Superstar potential, and amazing size and speed. And Carol city kids work hard.

Great stuff, Pete. Thanks.

It's pretty amazing how quickly Walton has gone from being 100% committed and not being concerned about competition to someone who now comes off as a major diva whose decommit may be imminent. If he does decommit, Deon McIntosh should become a priority as a 2016 RB. Kid is a stud.

I'm fine with Richards playing DB, though I'd prefer to be very cautious with accepting new WR commits for 2016 with Bruce, Mullins, Snelson, and Richards (WR/DB) already on board. It's obviously way too early to tell how solid their commitments are, but I'm concerned that taking someone like Pinder could potentially become a problem.

Mullins said at the time he committed that he thought there were 3 WR slots in the 2016 cycle and Richards mentioned in his CIS interview that he believes he'll play WR. Hopefully the staff is clearly communicating with these guys so they aren't taken by surprise when/if a kid like Pinder joins the group as well.

Irvin has visited a lot lately. I feel good about him

A lot of local kids visit a lot and don't end up in The Gables.

As of right now, I'm not expecting Irvin in this class.

At the risk of being negged into oblivion . . . why is Trayone's composite on 247 so low? I ask because I have not seen him play. By all accounts (on this board and elsewhere) he is ELITE. But an .8576 composite is not all that high. What are the analysts at 247 basing this composite on? I'll duck now at the responses to this honest question.

Is this insider stuff or just your opinion? I see you post alot of info and it comes off as insider info.

RE: that new commit Richards

Where CiS loses some credibility, is you have Nash saying he's playing WR and Pete saying he'll be playing DB.

Since you'll cowards are on the same team, you'll cowards need to get on the same page.

When writers for the same site put out contradictory info on a kid, it makes you look ridiculous b.

The Composite is the average of all 4 major recruiting websites (247, ESPN, Scout, Rivals)

A lot of these rankings are from Nike Combines/Camps, SPARQ stuff, 7 on 7 tourneys, Rivals camps, etc.

Most of the people responsible for rankings only attend these events when evaluating kids.

These kids don't go, they don't get that bump in rankings.

Losing Jaquan Johnson would hurt. No other way to put it.

NEED

He's only 5' 10" and ran a 4.75 at the opening... TE's are going to have a field day with him...

Heck, the ŁB's were running faster that and the entire set of WR's was faster than that too at the opening...

Question - Can the kid actually put on 20 to 30 more lbs and get faster?

I love to keep kids local, but???

As for FSU, he most likely a backup plan, but whatever.

I have known Quan for some years and one thing I can tell you is he is one of those kids that doesn't run the 40 well at all but his on field speed is great and is always in the right spot at the right time. 40 times do not tell the true story on a kids speed. I always look at the 10 yard splits because that's more realistic for game speed.

Simply put Quan is a stud prospect

Gray wasn't able to attend any camps much, if at all. And Carol City been down past few years. But all you need to do is watch the tape. His size and speed for his size is great. Every evaluator down south has said he is the real deal. And for anyone in the know on Carol City, when a prospect comes out of there. They are the real deal and hard workers.

And he has the respect from many top dog players in South Florida.
