It won't be a bigger meltdown than Collins to Arkansas. That one is gonna be tough to top for a while.

Man some of y'all are tripping with my dawg peter mane. Things do change sometimes with 17 years old. Pete, Tito, hurricane glory do a great job. Some of y'all are just mad because the current situation it seems like we are in with our top recruits. Don't take your anger out on them...

Last was the pinnacle of recruiting troll jobs. The staff got had, bad.

Doubt this year can be worse.

Quick review:

Dixon was an OSU lean until Golden and Coley did an in-home. At that point he was a UM lean and was likely to commit. Urban asked for an in-home and was able to swing Dixon back to being an asterisk lean. It appears that's how this saga is going to end.

Then let's send Coley again to hopefully work a miracle before this outstanding talent gets away.

We got a **** of a class coming in with probably 1 or 2 more surprises. Everybody shut the **** up and relax

Is Dixon really an "outstanding talent"? I see him producing somewhere around what Dorsett's done. Not sure he's a transcendent talent

He's a talent you don't want going elsewhere. Period.

This class could be scary good. At the same time I'm a tiny bit worried that some bad **** could start to happen. It really is a set of dominos at this point and we just need it to fall our way and if it does (whether that is cook, dixon, kiy hester, jc jackson, whomever else), then **** is going to absolutely take off even more than it already has. If that does, I wouldn't trade this class for any other class in the country, period.

If things start to fall the other way (young not qualifying, nigel looking hard elsewhere, kaaya, whatever you get the idea) then I might **** my pants. I truly think in the end everything is going to finish super strong with Kiy Hester and JC Jackson hopping on board as well as Cook, and like we have all heard if that were to happen Lane would instantly be back in the picture. Quite honestly if Cook commits **** is about to explode with this class and we are all going to be creaming ourselves. Could be an epic finish.

If that's the case then we need to slap a GIA (Grant in Aid?) on Dixon ASAP and swing this back in our favor and call it a day. Seems like hes flipping back and forth.

We'll see about that, Cook's recruitment could lead to either the biggest rejoicing or the biggest meltdown this board has ever seen. Especially since its involving us straight up against FSU rather than ******* *** *** hickville USA Arkansas. Cook is also so much better than Collins it makes him look like a cheerleader.... .oh wait.

I would certainly classify him as outstanding. I like my wide receivers to be well rounded and that's exactly what we get with Dixon. Solid hands, crisp route running, a good work ethic, an enough speed/quickness/athleticism to beat the defense deep on a bomb.

Any receivers we have committed that you'd prefer over Dixon? We have a nice group committed, but most services have Dixon rated above them all.

If it is true that Cook has decided to go to FSU, how much can the staff do to try and convince him not to. A loss in the NC game and he will want to go there to put them over the top, a win in the NC game and he will want to go to a place where he can win a title. Short of Fisher leaving for Texas, I don't see much room for us to win out in trying to convince him

What more can the staff do? They recruiting Dixon hard, but this offense has not exactly endeared itself to the point where WR's are just dying to come. Given the lack of success recruiting at Dwyer, we have to believe there are some factors there working against us. But Dixon is seriously considering us so what more can the staff do? We also have the possibility of Hester and JC Jackson. These kids have much more to consider than we canes fans wish, but until we show some dominance on either side of the ball, these kids will consider those other schools.

I agree. This class has the potential to be great or disastrous. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the latter. Our history lately has been very sad, and the result is that the fan base has become very cynical. Some people here can't accept the fact that we're expecting the worst, but our feelings are justly founded. It's been huge heartbreaks year after year. I don't expect us to land Cook or Dixon. We're going have to go after 3rd tier skill players at the last moment to fill out this class. We're going end up with another Danny Dillard at RB and D'mauri Jones at WR. I think Golden has done the best job he can. I just think we're not playing on a level playing field. We've NCAA investigation talk looming for a long time and for the majority of this recruiting process. Our upgraded facilities are still 2nd rate. Most importantly, I also think the majority of SEC schools and possibly Urban are paying their players. I know for a fact that Les Miles is infamous for paying kids from down here. Patrick Peterson (Johnson) and Dwayne Bowe. Why is it that every elite player from south Florida, with the exception of Duke and Coley, doesn't stay home?

That's enough venting. I really hope I'm wrong and Golden hits on everyone. This class needs to be great. We need a handful of guys that can play immediately and some more that will provide trustworthy depth. If we don't land on those players that will have an immidiate impact, then we will still be 2-3 years away from being a contender. A very very sad pill to swallow.

This board is bipolar. Manic highs followed by pitiful woes daily. Rinse and repeat.

Dixon can kick rocks as long as we end up signing at least one of Lane or Rudolph.

Problem I have with this is that we went hard after Dixon, and if the staff couldn't close against an out of state school, it's concerning.

Maybe because Jack Daniels (Dwyer's coach) doesn't like Miami. Isn't it a bit odd that we haven't landed a player from Dwyer since he's been the coach over there?

**** it, let's just blame the staff. It seems like the easy way to go.
