**Miami is still looking to add a number of wide receivers/tight ends for this cycle. As HurricaneGlory posted earlier this week, former Rutgers commit David Njoku is a prime target right now. Someone who has seen him play told me that he is a “freak athlete, but raw football player”. Njoku will grow into a tight end within a couple years and would be a steal for the ‘Canes if they can snag him.

**Tyre Brady remains as a top target for the ‘Canes and Miami leads for him. Brady has notoriously dealt with grades concerns dating back to his 9th grade year, but I’m told that he has worked extremely hard to pull those up and is in qualifying range right now. If the grades situation holds up, I’d be surprised if he’s not a ‘Cane come NSD.

**The top remaining receiver target is still Johnnie Dixon and despite some talk that he might want to “leave home”, I’ve been told that Miami feels good that he will ultimately decide to be a ‘Cane. He has been on campus unofficially as much as any recruit for this cycle.

**As DMoney posted on Tuesday, it appears as though Derrick Griffin once again has a legitimate chance to qualify. A few weeks back, I was told that people within the basketball program were all but writing off the possibility of him enrolling in January, but that tune has changed over the past few days. There was talk on the message boards last week when Griffin tweeted “January 2 OFFICIAL DATE”, but there are still some steps that need to be taken so I wouldn’t jump for joy yet.

**Despite the talk of Ermon Lane possibly wavering on his Florida commitment, don’t hold your breath about him flipping to the ‘Canes. Miami has moved on for now and I don’t see them taking another run at him. They are in a good position right now with the receivers they want.

**Dillard’s Dennis Turner (Miami commit) has had a productive senior season, but has been playing exclusively at receiver. Turner has been told that he will play cornerback at UM, so there will be a major adjustment period for him (he will most likely redshirt anyways). He has 500 yards and 8 TDs this season.

**I’ve posted this a lot lately, but will continue to reiterate it. Trayone Gray will most likely be headed to the Junior College ranks unless something drastic changes. I was told a few weeks back that he was even in jeopardy of missing a game for his high school team (Carol City) because of grades. Miami should continue to stay on him though, because he is a premier athlete.

**As of right now, I also don’t expect Dalvon Stuckey to wind up in this class. There have been some rumors about his grades not being up to par at JuCo for a few weeks and that is always a huge red flag. With Michael Wyche’s commitment earlier this week, look for Miami to try to land another JuCo DT in this cycle.

**One of the main things that is still lingering regarding this recruiting class is the lack of safeties. Look for Miami to dip into the JuCo ranks at this position as well. I know some people project Ryan Mayes as a safety, but he has been told that corner is what Miami is recruiting him at and I believe he will eventually be groomed to fill Ladarius Gunter’s role if he progresses as the coaches believe he can. Trayone Gray would be a perfect target to play safety, but like I mentioned that is unlikely right now. There was some talk about Nick Glass from Georgia, but I’ve been told by a Georgia source that he has some off-field concerns and that has probably caused Miami to step back from him.

**After watching Monarch ATH Calvin Ridley last week against Deerfield Beach, I would be shocked if Miami doesn’t offer soon. He is too good of an athlete and produces at too high of a level for Miami not to extend the offer before his season is over.

**There is talk that Miami’s chances of flipping either Sony Michel or Dalvin Cook are steadily increasing. In all honesty, don’t read into any of the comments Dalvin Cook makes to reporters because he tells people what they want to hear. I know that his brother (DeAndre Burnett – freshman guard on Miami’s basketball team) is still on him hard to make the switch and the local pressure is building up as well. With Michel, there is now talk that he will visit Miami in the coming months and the fact that his brother Marken has yet to enroll at Georgia has left the door open for Miami to pull off a power move (for now, Marken is scheduled to enroll at UGA in January). For those asking why Miami would still recruit Michel/Cook with Joseph Yearby and Brandon Powell committed…. Powell is a versatile football player who is open to playing multiple positions and Miami’s running back talent is simply not where it should be. Anytime you have the chance to add a 5-star talent, you do it.
