**Yes, Chad Thomas will be at FSU this weekend. Anytime a 5-star commit visits the reigning national champs, there is a valid reason for concern, but Thomas continues to tell me he is solid to Miami, despite his visit plans. I will refer you to a quote he gave me a little over a month ago - “Nah, nah, nah. I’ll never change. I committed to Miami so that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m loyal. I might take another visit just to see other things because I’ve been in Miami for 18 years, but you know I’m locked in with Miami.”

**It is known by now that Tavon Ross will be on campus today and throughout the weekend. Miami feels that getting on him before both Georgia and Alabama has given them the upper-hand here and this weekend could go a long way to landing him.

**What I reported a few weeks ago on the junior college defensive tackles still looks to be the case (http://www.canesinsight.com/threads/61582-HUGE-news-on-the-JUCO-DT-front?highlight=JUCO+DT). Heurtelou is expected to be enrolled today or tomorrow and Wyche is still not expected to be here for Spring. Look for Wyche to stay at JUCO this semester and be here in May.

**My feeling right now on Travonte Valentine is that he will be LSU bound. LSU coaches are very confident that he will be theirs on NSD.
**I expect Miami to be a legitimate player for Lamont Gaillard down the stretch. If he follows through on his visit next weekend, things could get interesting. Miami is on him HARD.

It's misses like this that will prevent us from being elite again

This.

fkin failure by this staff not getting TV Huge fkin loss

I knew there was bad news about Valentine just based on the # of pages

Wonder why Golden has not tried the financial papers tact (ala Cook) to allow unlimited contact with TV. Seems like we would pull out every stop with him.

Here's the problem: On the one hand, people want us to land studs in the backyard. On the other hand, right now we can't do the play for pay thing. So the staff gets bashed when they focus on NJ but we still hold it against them when they lose a kid because of money. They are going to the ******* northeast because its not ******* AAU basketball.

If we agree that we can't do pay for play, then stop *****ing about studs leaving. Whatever studs u can get from here and we got 4-5 you take and supplement elsewhere.

We can't have it both ways.

So just to clarify, if we do hang on to Valentine, did we outbid LSU, or did Genron release him from his magic spell before turning into a puff of smoke, helping Valentine realize he no longer cared about money?

It means our admissions waved his second foreign language requirement.. which I don't see happening.

GEAUX TO **** @UM_Admissions

Nah nah nah bruh. No one here wants to hear that sh*t. Its all a "myth". This, despite how many people that have followed recruiting for years, coaches, and even the founder of 7v7 all saying that it has basically become AAU at this point. Its a sleaze meat market right now, worse than its ever been. But people want to act like this stuff never goes on.

It really isn't that if shocking. Treon has many connections here and if talks go well next week we could easily get him to commit. Gaillard is still shaky with UGA because he has no relationship with the defensive coaches at all and UM has been on him for the longest regardless of what we keep reading how wE "lost him by not offering first" so right now his bond with Jethro is actually better then anybody over at UGA and plus he can play day 1 here. Lenius is obvious but when you look at the whole picture neither one of these 3 predictions are surprising at all

I say no way in the first two. Gaillard last I heard isnt even visiting. Treon I would say maybe 20-25% chance. I think there is more interest there than many assume, but I still dont think he flips. Leinus I think we can snag.

He said that he's trying to reschedule for next week and I can imagine that UM is doing anything to have that happen. IF he visits I think we have a great chance

Agree IF we can get him to visit. But when kids start having "scheduling issues" with OVs, especially one that looks like a tough pull like this kid, those end up very long shots. IF he makes it down, then Id say we may have a shot.

lets see if the official happens, he is visiting with pruitt soon and if he still schedules a visit then we have a chance, lets see what happens after that visit
